On Friday, February 20, Anton Zhuravlyov, a 4th year cadet of the military-technical faculty of the Belarusian National Technical University, detained a criminal who attacked a woman near an ATM. After talking to the young man, we learned about the details of the incident that day.
While being on fire, Anton was busy with his household chores and was on the street in the evening. Passing by the ATM terminal, the cadet noticed a frightened woman with a man standing next to her.
Heading towards my house, I noticed a rather alarming picture: a woman was standing near the ATM, and there was a man opposite her. The woman was stunned, and the man began to mislead me and said that he just came to clarify the address. The victim said the opposite and I saw that her hand was injured. Having already realized the whole essence of what is happening, I wanted everything to be solved fairly
At the same time, Anton had practically no fear. The guy pursued the criminal to the last, who tried to escape shortly after the dialogue with the cadet.
&Ndash; How was the criminal's detention?
&Ndash; Pursuing him, I talked to the police officers on the phone. The man was bigger than me, but he was in a state of alcohol intoxication and in this regard I was able to cope with his attempts to escape when he realized that he had to answer for what he had done. He was aggressive towards me and started fighting, but I tried to keep him. At that time, I asked passers-by for help and one of them responded. At that moment, I oriented the police more specifically and they arrived at the place.
Anton was driven by a sense of justice and civic duty. He admitted that he always tries to come to the rescue when necessary. And although such a situation happened to the cadet for the first time, he had already clearly realized one simple truth for himself.
&Ndash; You have to be ready for anything, because at any time the situation can go beyond the norm. It is also important to respond adequately to everything – first understand the current situation, and then act.
&Ndash; What helped you deal with the criminal?
&Ndash; The self-defense skills I got at BNTU helped a lot. This situation confirmed that everything in this life can be useful.
Anton's actions became an example of valor and readiness to come to the rescue, which is one of the main character traits of the defenders of the Fatherland. We also thank the cadet for his courage and responsiveness!
