Dance and sports club "Tango" is one of the leading dance clubs in our country. The club was founded in 2000 by the champions of the Republic of Belarus in sports dancing and the European program Pavel Yartsev and Marina Baslyk.
The prestige of the club is confirmed not only in Belarus, but also abroad. Pupils of the club have been successfully performing at domestic and international competitions for many years. Their professional skills are recognized by the best teachers in the world, which is confirmed by high results. Among the pupils of the club there are vice-champions of Europe in sports dancing among youth (2009), gold and silver medalists of the Championship of the Republic of Belarus in 2009, absolute champions of the Republic of Belarus in 2009 in groups of juniors, youth.
"Tango" has more than 200 people. During its existence, over 3,000 people were involved in the ranks of the pupils.
In 2009, on the basis of UDC BNTU, a sports dance studio "Tango" was created.
In 2010, TSC "Tango" held a tournament in dancesport "Gold of the Capital", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the university. The event caused a wide resonance among amateurs and professionals of the dance genre and became a tradition.
In 2011, TSC "Tango" developed and implemented the project "Christmas Ball" for students of BNTU, which took place in December. Positive feedback from the participants and guests of this event made it possible to assert that this event will become an annual event. As a result, the participants of the Tango sports and ballroom dance studio took 1st place in two categories.
In 2012 Participation in the Republican competition of student creativity "Art-vacancy" was awarded by the jury members with a Diploma of the III degree.
At the Republican tournament in sports dancing "Dance-boom 2012" · - Diplomas of the finalists for I, IV and VII places in the group - "Mass dance sport".
At the regional tournament "Christmas Ball" the studio received a Diploma of the 1st degree.
In 2013 at the City Festival of Folk Art "Suzor'e" the team received a Diploma of II degree.

Within the framework of the city festival of folk art "Suzorye," a gala concert "My Silver Ball" was held in the Belarusian State Philharmonic Hall, in which the sports dance studio "Tango" of the cultural, educational and historical educational center of the BNTU took part.

Successful for the studio was participation in the city festival of folk art "Suzor ' e", where the team was awarded the Laureate Diploma.
On December 24, 2016, the studio organized and held the Open Ballroom Dance Festival "Christmas Ball-2016" at BNTU, in which more than 100 dance couples from Minsk took part. The best results of the Tango studio showed:
- 1st place in the group Dance School "Youth + Adults" - Alexey Pechko.
- 1st place in the group "Youth + Adults" Rising Star LA - Ermolovich Ekaterina.
- 2nd place in the group "Youth + Adults" Rising Star ST - Ekaterina Ermolovich.
- 2nd place in the group "Youth + Adults" Dance School - Vitaly Shevchuk and Anastasia Tumanova.
