Folk brass band

It was organized in 1948. He received the title of "people's" in 1980.

 The orchestra is the center of musical culture of BNTU. Every three or four years, the team successfully confirms the title of "folk" at the city festival of folk art "Suzor'e".

The orchestra takes an active part in the events of BNTU, as well as in regional, city and republican events. It has become a tradition to perform the band at festive venues dedicated to Victory Day, City Day, etc.

In 2012, at the annual review-competition "Leader of the Year 2011" of the Soviet District, the project "People's Brass Band" (authors P.L. Krivokhizha and T.A. Korobeiko) won in the nomination "The Best Association of Amateur Creative Activities".

In 2013, within the framework of the city festival of folk art "Suzor'e", the orchestra confirmed the title of "folk".

In May 2014, the band celebrated its 65th anniversary with a gala concert.

In 2016, the team took part in  the Republican competition of artistic groups and individual performers of higher education institutions "Art Vakatsy", where the soloist of the orchestra Ilya Kovalenko received a 2nd degree Diploma.

As part of  the city festival of folk art "Suzor ' e",  the performance of the group took place in the concert hall of the Palace of Culture of the Tractor Plant. The program included works by domestic and foreign composers. At the end of their performance, the orchestra performed the song "Victory Day", where the soloist was a member of the vocal and pop studio "Soul in Love" Nikita Adamchuk. As a result of the festival, the team successfully confirmed the title of "folk" and received a Diploma of the III degree.

2018 - Republican review competition of art groups and individual performers of higher education institutions "Art Vakatsy" - Diploma of the 2nd degree.

On November 28, 2018, a gala concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the band took place. The concert program included popular pop works, dance music, world hits, as well as congratulations from the creative teams of the department for cultural affairs: the ensemble of the folk orchestra of folk instruments, the Tango sports dance studio, the Soul in Love vocal and pop studio. The university administration awarded the leaders of the orchestra with BNTU certificates of honor. From the administration of the Savetsky district of Minsk and the trade union committee of workers of the Belarusian National Technical University, the team was awarded certificates of honor, flowers, gifts.

EVENTS WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF THE ORCHESTRA:

- Concert dedicated to the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus,

-Republican competition of technical creativity "TechnoIntellect",

-International athletics run Minsk-Izhevsk,

- Regional events on May 1 and Victory Day,

- Festive procession and performances at the venues of the Soviet district of Minsk as part of the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus,

- Solemn line "Freshman of BNTU",

-Festival of the city of Minsk - performances at the venues of the Soviet district of Minsk,

-Forum of draft programs of the Union State,

- Festival of Belarusian culture in BNTU "Belarus - here we are!" and others.

The team takes part in republican events:

- Festival of student creativity "Art-vakatsy",

-City festival of folk art "Suzor'e".
