Folk Ensemble of Violinists
It was established in 1976. In 1985, he was awarded the title of "people's artist", which was successfully confirmed at the city festival of folk art "Suzor'e".
For many years, the BNTU violin ensemble was the only amateur group of this kind in the republic based at a technical university.
Over the years, the ensemble has given concerts in many cities: Yerevan, Riga, Lviv, Chisinau, Brest, Soligorsk, Grodno, Vitebsk, St. Petersburg, etc. The tradition of the collective has become trips to the city of Brest for the student festival of amateur art "Brest Spring", where the ensemble acts as guests of honor in front of students and teachers.·Brest Polytechnic Institute, for soldiers and officers of the border military units of Brest and the Brest region.
In 2004, as part of the city festival of folk art "Suzor'e", the team successfully confirmed the title of "folk".
In 2013, at the city festival of folk art "Suzor'e" for collectives with the title of "people's"· the collective successfully confirmed the title of "people's" and received a Diploma of the First degree.
In 2016, the violin ensemble celebrated its 40th anniversary with a festive concert program in a cozy and friendly atmosphere.
In 2017, within the framework of the Suzor'e festival, the violinist ensemble successfully confirmed the title of "national".
The Folk Violinist Ensemble participates in many events of our university, district and city.

"We are 40 years old!"
Anniversary concert. The ensemble's staff gathers with lightning speed. Someone comes running right from the couples, someone instead of them. Dressing up in concert costumes, tuning instruments and the last rehearsal take place in a cheerful bustle. One is rosinning a bow, another is assembling a remote control, and the third is trying to tie a bow tie. And then there's the leader, trying to bring the whole crowd to common sense. If you had looked at it from the outside, you would hardly have believed that the students rushing back and forth with instruments in their hands were the BNTU Folk Violinist Ensemble.
The Folk Violinist Ensemble was founded in 1976. The founder and permanent head until 2006 was Grigory Borisovich Gleichengauz. The ensemble is the only amateur group of this kind in the republic based at a technical university. The applause of the grateful listeners: students and teachers, soldiers and officers, veterans of war· and labor sounded in the best halls of various cities of the world: Yerevan, Riga, Lviv, Chisinau, St. Petersburg, Brest, Grodno, etc.
In 1981, the ensemble won a Laureate Diploma at the All-Union Student Classical Music Festival in Yerevan. In the same year, he became a laureate and diploma holder of the 1st and 2nd degrees of the All-Union Amateur Art Show. He also received a Diploma from the Bolshoi Academic Theater of the USSR. In 1988, the violinist ensemble took part in the Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk.
And behind this proud and even a little pretentious name, we are ordinary students with a drop of talent and a lot of desire to play. Or vice versa. That's probably why our rehearsals are so fun and interesting. The goal here is not only to achieve the perfect sound (although we can do that!), but also communication – communication with music and with each other. But how else? Imagine 16 young talents in one place (I'm not afraid of that word). And everyone has their own problems and worries, which are not always possible to leave behind the threshold. It's just that you can't do without music here. The head of the ensemble is a psychologist and directly the musical director of the ensemble. She selects a diverse repertoire: classical ·and modern works by Belarusian and foreign authors, everything that the viewer's soul desires. There are Saint Saens' "Swan", Goya's "Feeling", Rodriguez's "Cumparisita", Oginsky's "Polonaise", Shostakovich's "Romance" and much, much more. The repertoire is constantly changing and being updated so that neither we nor the listeners have time to get bored. This is also required by constant participation in various concerts, competitions, and festivals.· In 2013. at the city festival of folk art "Suzor'e", the team successfully confirmed the title of "people's" and received a Diploma of the first degree. In 2017, the violinist ensemble successfully confirmed the title of "national".
And the future? Undoubtedly, in rainbow colors! Moreover, the past has been crowned with successes and victories. It's hard to imagine how many students have played in the ensemble over the past 40 years. However, new people come every year, the repertoire changes, but the ensemble does not suffer from this at all, but rather, on the contrary, it wins. His listener also wins, and this, as you know, is the most important thing for a musician!
