Interuniversity competition of student films "Videoradius BNTU" was organized in 2006. In 2016, the competition celebrated its 10th anniversary.
"Videoradius" is not only an attempt to realize one's creative ambitions and express youth ideas in the language of cinema, but above all a school where one can come without a camera and a tripod, and at the next stage watch a film of one's own production on the wide screen of a cinema.
The competition is supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the film school-studio of A. Polupanov.
For young directors of BNTU and other institutions of higher education who wish to take part in the competition, master classes in cinematography (cameramanship, screenwriting, editing, "film production") are organized in order to improve the skills of participants and increase the level of videos submitted for the competition.
A professional jury, which includes specialists in the field of film art and film production, works at the competition day.
Students of institutions of higher education from all over the Republic of Belarus claim the main student prize of the year - a bronze camera on a tripod compass.
The ceremony of presenting awards to the participants and winners of the competition is a spectacular spectacle, accompanied by creative performances by the UDC teams and a film show of the winners' videos.
Everyone can watch the films participating in the open screenings of the contest on the website times.bntu.by.
