Укрепление связей с Китаем. Проректор БНТУ на Белорусско-китайском форуме регионов

From June 30 to July 2, 2026, the Belarusian-Chinese Forum of Regions was held in Lanzhou, which became an important platform for the development of cooperation between the two countries. The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) was represented at this significant event by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik.

Within the framework of the forum, Yuri Nikolaychik took an active part in the work of panel section No. 3, dedicated to intellectual exchange and joint creation of the future. His report "Alliance of competencies: effective experience of BNTU in joint training of highly qualified personnel for the sectors of the economy of Belarus and China" aroused great interest among the participants. It presented the successful practices of BNTU in training specialists who meet the needs of both the Belarusian and Chinese economies.

On the sidelines of the forum, an important meeting was held between the vice-rector of BNTU and the rector of Lanzhou Professional University of Resources and Environment Li Wenshnen. The result of this meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement, which opens up new opportunities for joint educational programs and the training of highly qualified specialists.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the development of the Lu Ban Workshop project. This project, initiated by BNTU and highly appreciated by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, is aimed at creating a republican educational and practical center for foundry and additive technologies. Its relevance and practical significance are emphasized by the fact that it was selected among many other projects of Belarusian universities. The Lu Ban Workshop is intended to become a new model of professional engineering education that meets international standards, contributes to the broadcast of advanced technologies and the development of engineering practice, taking into account the specifics of the national economy.

The BNTU's participation in the Belarusian-Chinese Forum of Regions and the agreements reached indicate the university's desire to expand international cooperation and strengthen ties with Chinese partners in the field of education and science. This is an important step towards creating innovative educational programs and training highly qualified specialists who can make a significant contribution to the development of the economies of both countries.
