BNTU hosted a dialogue platform on the prevention of offenses among youth

В БНТУ прошла диалоговая площадка по вопросам профилактики правонарушений

Today, April 3, a dialogue platform was held at BNTU with the participation of an operative officer of the Department for Drug Control and Combating Human Trafficking of the Police Department of the Soviet District Administration of Minsk, Police Captain Kirill Sergeenko. The event was dedicated to the prevention of crimes in the area of pedophilia and child pornography distribution, as well as illicit drug trafficking. A law enforcement officer used specific examples to explain the legal consequences of unlawful actions.

During the dialogue platform, participants discussed issues of lawful behavior for foreign citizens studying at the university, as well as key measures to counter the spread of drugs among youth. Police Captain detailed the illegality of methods used to involve minors and students in the illicit trafficking of prohibited substances, and warned of liability for the possession, sale, and promotion of drugs.

Special attention was paid to the administrative and criminal liability of foreign citizens for violating Belarusian legislation — from improper behavior in public places to participation in the shadow circulation of substances. Students were explained that even a single instance of storing or sending prohibited content via messengers entails serious legal consequences, including imprisonment. The Police Captain urged young people to view dubious offers of 'easy money' on the Internet critically and to immediately report such facts to law enforcement agencies or the university administration.

The open conversation with the police representative allowed young people not only to obtain reliable information firsthand but also to understand the irreversibility of legal consequences for crimes.
