Today, on March 6, the annual "Choose a Student Troop" promotion project was held in the lobby of the main building of the Belarusian National Technical University, bringing together the most active and concerned students.
Alexey Pikus, First Secretary of the Minsk City Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, delivered a welcoming speech at the event.
"For all those who will embark on the path of student groups today, students' groups are a small life, a small universe. A universe where you will find new friends, gain new experiences, and find new opportunities to realize yourself and your loved ones, and earn your first, or perhaps not first, but good money," said Alexey Andreevich.
Timur Matyushinets, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, also addressed the participants. He emphasized that the Belarusian Republican Youth Union is a center that brings together active young people.
— It is very pleasant that the event has gathered a lot of people. The student team movement is a brand of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. Today, we are holding this event specifically for you, where each of you can choose your own direction and become a member of a student team. I am confident that thanks to you, BNTU will take the title of the best labor headquarters this year.
For the guests of the project, we have prepared stands with information about the work of student teams, as well as gifts and souvenirs. Students participated in interactive games and interacted with representatives of student teams. Alina Marchuk, Secretary of the BRSM Student Organization at the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, spoke about the role of student organizations in the lives of students. She emphasized that for students, joining a student organization is primarily an opportunity to earn additional income, which is especially important for young people.
"In addition to earning money, joining a student organization also provides students with new opportunities for socialization, interesting experiences, and friends. I joined a student organization as an ordinary student. I actively participated in various events, and I was noticed and offered the position of secretary. It's also an opportunity for students to showcase their talents. If you're considering joining a student organization, I encourage you to give it a try." There are short shifts for two weeks – during this time you can understand all the nuances and decide whether to continue or not, also the schedule is always flexible, which is especially convenient for students.
Guests of the event were able to learn about the brightest events in which the fighters are involved, get advice on employment from representatives of the labor affairs headquarters, and take part in interactive games.
— I learned about this event thanks to the BRSM guys and I didn’t even expect it to be so interesting. I plan to join student groups, especially since this is a good chance to prove myself. I think the main advantage of student squads is communication. You can meet all kinds of people, for example, senior students. And good connections are very important in our time, — said Maxim, a student at the Faculty of Information Technology and Radio Engineering.
The event was a platform for dialogue between students and those who had already become part of the large family of student squads at BNTU. Everyone was able to find something new for themselves, from having fun to using their free time productively.
