The Belarusian National Technical University proudly recognizes its graduates who make significant contributions to the development of the Republic of Belarus. Among these outstanding professionals is Yuri Stanislavovich Masyuk, General Director of OJSC “Belavtodor Holding Management Company,” who has been awarded the honorary title of “Distinguished Alumnus of BNTU.”

Faculty of Transport Communications — the Starting Point of a Professional Journey

Yuri Masyuk graduated from the Faculty of Transport Communications of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (now BNTU) in 1988, specializing in “Automobile Roads.” The knowledge and engineering training he received at the university became the foundation of his successful career in the national road construction industry.

Career Path: From Engineer to Leader of a Major Infrastructure Holding

After graduation, Yuri Stanislavovich began his professional activity as Chief Engineer of DEU No. 160 at the association “Grodnoobldorstroy.” He later headed DRSU No. 158 and, in 1998, was appointed Technical Director of RUE “Magistralavtodor.”

In 2003, he became the General Director of the enterprise, and after the restructuring of the road sector in 2005, he headed RUE “Minskavtodor-Center.”

From 2010 to 2013, he held leading positions in the Belavtodor Department, and since 2013 he has been the head of the enterprise “Belavtodor Holding Management Company,” reorganized in 2016 into an open joint-stock company.

Major National Infrastructure Projects Implemented Under His Leadership

Under Yuri Masyuk’s leadership, the “Belavtodor” holding successfully implemented a number of major and strategically important projects, including:

  • reconstruction of highways M-5 Minsk–Gomel, M-6 Minsk–Grodno–Polish border, R-23 Minsk–Mikashevichi (including cement-concrete sections);

  • construction of the Second Ring Road around Minsk;

  • creation of the Southwestern Bypass of Mogilev;

  • reconstruction of important road sections on M-3 Minsk–Vitebsk, the Pleshchenitsy bypass, R-80, R-53, R-15, R-16, and others.

In record time, the Second Runway of the National Airport Minsk was built, and major reconstruction of the runway at Orsha Aerodrome was completed.

A significant achievement was the construction of 12 bridge structures as part of the “Republican Bridges and Reconstruction of M-3” project, as well as the ahead-of-schedule commissioning of a bridge across the Pripyat River on the R-131 Kalinkovichi–Mozyr highway.

Recognition of Achievements

For his substantial contribution to the development of the national road sector, Yuri Masyuk has received numerous institutional awards. In 2004, he was granted a Presidential Commendation, and in 2024 he received the state award — the Medal “For Labor Merit.”
