Today, on November 13, the program of the Summer School on Automation in English for undergraduates of Qingdao Agrarian University has ended.
The students arrived at BNTU on August 14, 2023 and over the past three months were not only acquainted with the university and the Belarus as a whole, but also to create their own project for the agricultural sector.
Pavel Kholod, a lecturer at the Department of "Robotic Systems", one of the curators of the work of undergraduates, shared with us about the results of the summer school:
– Throughout the entire time of studying at BNTU, students not only received theoretical knowledge in the direction of the summer school, but also got deeply acquainted with our university and the overall state of the IT industry in the Republic of Belarus. They visited the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic" and the best companies of the Hi-Tech Park specializing in the development and production of automation tools: LLC "LACIT - Laboratory of digital technologies" and LLC "Niva-motor". The main attention was paid to the creation of our students' own project. They developed a model of an automatic robot that implements the process of sowing seeds. Thanks to the joint work, the guys have created effective equipment that in the future let to reducing the time spent on sowing and to decrease the human labor.
The result of their work was a presentation at the X-th Belarusian-Chinese Youth Innovation Forum «New horizons - 2023» on November 9, 2023, where our participants received diplomas for the best reports in their sections.
The cultural and excursion program was not forgotten either: The students visited Mir and Nesvizh castles, National Park “Belovezhskaya Pushcha” and Brest Fortress-Hero.
On the final day, Alexander Manyukevich, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, congratulated them on the successful completion of the program and wished everyone inspiration and success in creating new useful projects.
