From August 28 to September 2, 2022, the 20th World Championship in Sports DF - XX-th IARU ARDF WORD Championships was held in Bulgaria on the basis of the ski resort of Borovets.
The competition was attended by 227 participants from 21 countries. Athletes competed at Sprint, Classic 1, Classic 2 and Foxoring distances in various age categories from 19 to 70 years old.
The Republic of Belarus as part of the national team at these competitions was represented by our student of group 11904120 of the sports and technical faculty Oleg Tomashev.
In the Classic 1 race. In a stubborn struggle, our guys did not have enough to win in the individual competition. But in the team standings in the M19 category, Oleg Tomashev, together with Sergey Zhilinsky, took 2nd place!
In the Foxoring race in the M19 category with a score of 46.36 Oleg became the World Champion.
Congratulations to Oleg! We wish him further success in his studies and sports!
