On Saturday, August 1, the Belarusian National Technical University completed the acceptance of documents for applicants applying for paid education. This event marks the final point in the admission campaign of 2026, one of the most important periods for the university and thousands of young people who have made a choice in favor of engineering education.
Statistics on crediting to a target account
The campaign turned out to be intense. It started on June 27, when the admission of applicants for general higher and special higher education on the terms of targeted training began. The target applicants were enrolled already on July 11. Thus, 464 people joined the ranks of BNTU students.
Statistics on budget transfer based on the results of the CES/CT
On July 12, the BNTU launched the main stage of the admission campaign. Applications for budget places were submitted daily until July 17. For the convenience of applicants, an electronic queue system was introduced at BNTU for the first time this year, through which students received a ticket via a touch-screen display and waited for an invitation in the auditorium, and the queue position could be monitored in real time on the screens. Thanks to this, the admission campaign was conducted smoothly, efficiently and comfortably for both applicants and admissions officers. In total, 4,704 applications were processed at BNTU during the first six days of the 2026 admission campaign.
Soon, on July 22, an open meeting of the admissions committee was held to enroll applicants for general higher and special higher education at the expense of the republican budget, based on the results of the CES/CT. 2,361 applicants were enrolled. Of these, 89 have one–hundred-point certificates of CE or CT, 337 have a gold/silver medal or a diploma with honors on completion of secondary special education. Also, 31 graduates of the National Children's Technopark became students of BNTU (24 of them enrolled without entrance tests), 532 graduated from engineering classes (77 of them enrolled without entrance tests), 104 graduated from pedagogical classes (3 of them enrolled without entrance tests).
The highest score with which the applicant submitted the documents was 398 for the specialty "Electric Power Engineering and electrical Engineering. Electric Power systems and Networks" of the Faculty of Energy. The specialty with the highest passing score (381) was "Economics and Management. Financial support and economics of combat and economic activities of the troops" (female; in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus) of the Military Technical Faculty. The civilian specialty with the highest passing score (380) is "Robotic systems. Industrial robots and robotic complexes" of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics.
The largest competition for budget places based on the results of the CES/CT has developed in the following specialties:
"economics and management. Economics and Management at an industrial enterprise" (full—time education) Faculty of Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship - 4 people per place;
"construction of buildings and structures. Industrial and Civil Engineering" (correspondence education) of the Faculty of Civil Engineering — 3.4 people per place;
"construction of buildings and structures. Industrial and military construction" (female, in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus) and "operation of land transport and technological machines and complexes. Special-purpose road construction machinery and equipment" (in the interests of the State Border Committee) of the Military Technical Faculty — 3 people per place.
Statistics budget transfer based on the results of entrance tests
A few days later, on July 27, the enrollment of state-funded applicants based on the results of internal entrance tests took place. According to its results, 467 more people became students. Of these, 107 enrolled in full—time education, 360 enrolled in part-time education.
The specialty with the highest passing score (347) was architecture (full-time study) at the Faculty of Architecture.
According to the results of the internal entrance tests, the largest competition for budget places was recorded in the following specialties:
"Management" (reduced period of education by correspondence) of the Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianization — 5,8 people per place;
"Information and measuring devices and systems" (correspondence shortened period of education) Faculty of Instrument Engineering — 5.08 people per place;
"Architecture" (full—time abbreviated form of education) of the Faculty of Architecture - 5 people per place.
Statistics of crediting to a paid account
Today, on July 3, the enrollment of paid applicants took place. Another 759 people joined the ranks of BNTU students, 431 of them enrolled in full—time studies, 338 enrolled in correspondence courses. The highest passing score was 332 for the specialty "architecture" (full-time study) of the Faculty of Architecture.
The largest competition for paid education in terms of the number of applications submitted was noted in the specialties:
"Software engineering" (reduced period of study by correspondence) of the International Institute of Distance Education — 5,8 people per place;
"Information and measuring devices and systems" (correspondence shortened period of education) Faculty of Instrument Engineering — 4.65 people per place;
"construction of buildings and structures. Industrial and Civil Engineering" (reduced period of education by correspondence) of the Faculty of Civil Engineering — 4.4 people per place.
Results
Over the entire period of the admission campaign, 6,628 applications were processed. The total number of enrolled applicants was 4,052 people. Of these, 479 medalists and holders of diplomas with honors, 659 graduates of engineering specialized classes, 145 graduates of pedagogical specialized classes and 32 graduates of the National Children's Technopark were admitted to BNTU.
In addition, out of the total number of enrolled students, 1313 have more than 300 points in total, and 107 have hundred—point results.
The BNTU admission campaign has once again confirmed the high interest of young people in engineering education, and BNTU has once again become a point of attraction for talented and motivated young people who are ready to build their future in engineering!
