Today, May 21, a meeting of the university volunteer squad headquarters was held at the Belarusian National Technical University. The event was attended by Major Alexander Tsuba, Deputy Patrol and Guard Company Commander for Ideological Work and Personnel Support of the Minsk Sovietsky District Police Department; Irina Gud, Head of the Center for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs; and BNTU students.
The meeting participants discussed key issues: the election of volunteer squad commanders in the dormitories and academic buildings, the squad secretary, two deputy commanders (for the Sovetsky and Moskovsky districts, as well as for the Pervomaysky district), the commander of the BNTU volunteer squad, and the awarding of awards to distinguished volunteers for the high-quality performance of their duties.
The following were elected as commanders of the volunteer squads in the BNTU dormitories and academic buildings:
During the meeting, the secretary of the BNTU volunteer squad was also elected: Anastasia Karankevich, a student of the Faculty of Power Engineering. Ivan Serkov, a student of the Faculty of Instrument Engineering (for the Sovetsky and Moskovsky districts), and Yana Myslivets, a student of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogics (for the Pervomaysky district) were appointed deputy squad commanders. Yegor Gilevsky, a student in the Faculty of Energy, has been appointed commander of the BNTU volunteer squad.
After the candidates for the leadership positions were approved, those present moved on to the presentation of certificates of appreciation. For their active participation in law enforcement and public life at the university, BNTU certificates of appreciation were presented to:
Aleksandr Tsuba also presented a commendation to Denis Gordeyuk, commander of the volunteer squad at Dormitory No. 9 at BNTU, for fruitful cooperation with the Department of Internal Affairs of the Sovietsky District Administration of Minsk and high professionalism.
Furthermore, for their significant contribution to the development of law enforcement and active participation in ensuring public order in Minsk, the following received commendations from the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee:
Olga Golub, former secretary of the volunteer squad at BNTU;
Yevgeny Kniga, former commander of the volunteer squad at Dormitory No. 18 at BNTU;
Stanislav Prokopovich, former commander of the volunteer squad at Dormitory No. 6 at BNTU;
Pavel Loyko, former commander of the volunteer squad at BNTU.
The meeting of the BNTU Volunteer Squad headquarters marked a significant milestone in the university's law enforcement movement. A special atmosphere was created by the ceremony awarding distinguished volunteers with departmental commendations and commemorative gifts. Such events not only strengthen the squad's human resources but also highlight the significant social significance of student initiatives to maintain law and order.
