BNTU has identified the best student room of 2026

Today, on May 20, the BNTU Polytechnic Science and Technology Park hosted an award ceremony for the participants and winners of the BNTU 2026 Best Student Room competition. 17 rooms from 13 dormitories were considered as part of the competition.

The event was attended by Vice-rector for Research Yuri Nikolaichik, as well as deputy deans for educational work, heads of dormitories, educators, teachers, organizers and participants of the review competition "The best student room of BNTU — 2026".

The competent jury, which evaluates the children's places of residence, includes: 

• Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Oleg Gusev;
• the head of the campus, Vitaly Tsando;
• Olga Grinevich, Deputy Head of the campus for Educational Work;
• Director of the Department of Cultural and Mass Communications of the Department of Cultural Affairs Alyona Semko;
• Maxim Kulik, Chairman of the primary trade union organization of BNTU students;
• Polina Grabovaya, specialist of the primary trade union organization of BNTU students;
• Anna Yurkevich, passport officer of the student campus;
• student of study group 10205223, chairman of the trade union organization of students of the Faculty of Mining and Environmental Engineering Andrey Kurlyanchik.

The evaluation criteria included compliance with internal regulations and fire safety in dormitories, sanitary conditions, aesthetic design, comfort, the ability to present their place of residence and welcome guests. 

However, before the commission started exploring the best rooms of the BNTU dormitories, Mikhail Zabelo, the soloist of the National Brass Band of the Department of Cultural Affairs, made a musical gift. 

Vitaly Tsando addressed the participants of the competition with a welcoming speech. He noted that the competition took a lot of effort from the guys, but they were able to show hospitality, comfort and how to live in a student dormitory. 

After that, the head of the campus presented his gratitude to the teachers and organizers of the dormitories for their contribution to the education of the culture of everyday life and leisure of students living in the dormitory. So, the awards were awarded: 

• Daria Lukomskaya, the teacher-organizer of the dormitory No. 6;
• Lydia Babrova, the teacher-organizer of the dormitory No. 8;
• teacher of dormitory No. 8 Svetlana Lyakhovich;
• teacher-organizer of dormitory No. 9 Nadezhda Brekhun;

• teacher of dormitory No. 12 Lyudmila Gaidukevich;
• Elizaveta Spiridonova, teacher-organizer of dormitory No. 12;

• Anna Shalai, the teacher of dormitory No. 16;

The diploma of the participant of the review competition "The best student room of BNTU — 2026" was awarded:

Yuri Nikolaichik was invited to the stage to award the winners in the nominations. 

— I have a very important mission—announcing the winner. I'd also like to point out that this is my second time participating in the awards ceremony as a representative of the university administration. I want to say that all of you are already winners, because it's a great achievement not only to showcase your residence, essentially your home during your studies, in good condition, but also to present it creatively, using a variety of approaches, each of which had their own. It's worth noting that the students who live in these rooms are truly creative individuals. I'm sure they keep their rooms, their home presentation, and their studies in order. In other words, these are the best students at our university.

Diplomas in special nominations were awarded:

• Creative Ideas Room — Room 511, Dorms 6 (Kira and Anna);
• "The best interior solution" — room No. 432A, dorms No. 15 (Vladislav and Pavel);
• Aesthetics in Everything — room No. 808A, dormitory No. 9 (Vladislava, Ksenia and Alice);
• "The most welcoming room" — room No. 308B, dorms No. 18 (Kristina and Elena);
• "The most comfortable room" — room No. 226, dormitory No. 12 (Margarita and Anna);
• The "friendliest room" is room No. 903, dormitory No. 16 (Darina and Alyona live in room B, Arianna and Tatiana live in room A);

According to the results of the review competition "The best student room of BNTU - 2026", room 809A of dormitory No. 9 (Vladislava, Ksenia and Alina) became the winner. The main prize of the competition — a new refrigerator — was presented to the girls by Yuri Alexandrovich.
