The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Gusakov, Rector of BNTU Sergei Kharitonchik, representatives of ministries, enterprises - customers of engineering personnel of Belarus and rectors of Belarusian universities.

During the event, Roman Aleksandrovich outlined the main problems of training engineering personnel and ways to solve them. The Prime Minister noted that the modernization of the education system, serious practical training and in-depth career guidance work are important aspects in the formation of a high-quality educational process in the country. In addition, Roman Golovchenko drew attention to the need to take into account the needs of future specialists and the demands of enterprises, including active interaction between universities and enterprises to ensure accelerated economic development of the country.

- We must monitor and promptly respond to changes in the needs of young people. They are developing a much faster demand for independent creativity, for the active use of remote learning methods. Our personnel training system must monitor these trends and keep up with them so as not to break the connection between the needs of our young people and what we offer, - Roman Aleksandrovich expressed his opinion.

In addition, enterprises should invest in the training of future specialists, provide equipment and involve students in research activities.

- High-quality training of specialists with relevant knowledge and skills is a common task, - the Prime Minister noted.

As part of the visit, those present visited the BNTU Center for Technical Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Machines.
