BNTU PRESENTED DEVELOPMENTS IN THE FIELD OF HEALTHCARE AT AN EXHIBITION IN MINSK ARENA

БНТУ представил разработки в сфере здравоохранения на выставке в Минск-Арене

Today, September 15, an exhibition of innovative developments and samples of industrial products dedicated to National Unity Day began its work at the Minsk Arena sports complex.

As part of the celebration of National Unity Day, the exhibition is being held for the first time and includes a demonstration of samples of equipment, innovative developments and industrial products.

We are a united people looking to the future. Thanks to this, we are able to produce numerous products that are in demand not only in our country, but also abroad. The emphasis is on innovation so as not to rest on our laurels. Our scientists also have a lot of good developments in the field of medicine, industry, and computerization. They are also gradually being implemented, emphasized Vladimir Kukharev, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee..

More than a hundred leading companies and organizations, scientists and inventors of Belarus, as well as educational institutions, including the Belarusian National Technical University, are presenting their developments in the exhibition complex.

For example, a large exhibition is dedicated to samples of a wide variety of equipment produced in Belarus. Electronics, produced at capital enterprises, is used for highly specialized scientific research, industrial production and medical care. At the same time, it is also presented in the form of the usual consumer segment: new models of refrigerators and washing machines, laptops, watches, and televisions. You can also see examples of Belarusian pharmaceutical, perfume and cosmetic products.

The stand of the Belarusian National Technical University presents developments in the field of healthcare:

  • heating system for newborns on a water/gel mattress “Ramonak-01”;
  • knee joint endoprosthesis and instrumentation;
  • biological heart valve endoprosthesis;
  • vascular prosthesis;
  • stent-graft for the thoracic aorta, endovascularly implanted;
  • intraoral dental device;
  • individual orthopedic insoles “Kinesio”, etc.

All exhibits were developed at the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic". Many of them have already been used in practice in the healthcare sector. For example, the first Belarusian knee endoprosthesis and complete set of instruments for its installation is one of them.

Of particular interest to visitors was the heating system for newborns on a water/gel mattress “Ramonak-01”. As you might guess, it provides quick, effective and safe heating of newborns to prevent and treat hypothermia and its complications. There are no analogues of this development on the Belarusian market yet.

All of these, as well as many other developments, can be seen in person if desired, because the exhibition will last until September 17 (from 11:00 to 20:00). Free admission.
