I’m the TechFuture with BNTU. Подводим итоги летней школы

Today, September 8, the program of the practice-oriented BNTU Summer School I’m the TechFuture for students of SandIp University ended.

Let us remind you that the unforgettable adventure of the children during the summer school began on August 12. During this time, students completed a unique course of lectures and practical classes, attended excursions to production sites and high-tech centers, historical places of Belarus and became closely acquainted with the culture of our country. The culmination was the presentation and defense of startup projects that students prepared throughout their stay at the Belarusian National Technical University.

In  the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic", students in groups presented three projects:

  • Smart Farm;
  • ARDUINO: human following robot;
  • Generating electricity from snow.

The level of innovation, potential for growth, technical complexity, benefits for society and other criteria of the projects were evaluated by the BNTU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yuri Nikolaychik, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics Andrey Avsievich, Associate Professor of the Department of Business Administration Irina Ustinovich, from the Industrial Park "Great Stone" – Deputy Head of the Investment Attraction Department Nikita Petruchenya, Manager for working with investors in the field of R&D and subjects of innovative activity of the Industrial park Tatyana Rudnitskaya.

In addition, Sandip Deepak Patil, Director of the Sandip Foundation Institute of Engineering and Management, and Manish Vig, Director of World1solutions, followed the guys’ performances online.

The proposed business plans showed a high level of students' knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and technology.

– Participation in the internship was definitely useful. I learned a lot about entrepreneurship and new technologies. I have never seen most of the products of the enterprises we visited before. The presented robots and automated systems and their capabilities truly impressed me, shared Manas Sandip Nerkar.

– When I found out that BNTU is a university with a 100-year history, I looked at its photo on the Internet, I decided that I would definitely be here. As you can see, my dream has come true. The approach to teaching and responsive staff made my internship here as comfortable and useful as possible, – said Abhishek Anil Pawar.

In addition to developing professional skills, students learned a lot about Belarusian culture and traditions. Fascinating historical facts, legends and Belarusian landscapes – all this, according to the participants of the school, is incredibly inspiring.

– Belarus is a country with beautiful architecture, unique views and hospitable people. Coming here and seeing its cultural riches is one of the best decisions of my life, – added Abhishek.

Throughout the summer school, its participants have demonstrated enthusiasm and hard work. We wish the guys to continue working in the same spirit, develop their professional skills and strive for new achievements!
