On February 9, 2022 a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Alisher Navoi was held in Minsk, dedicated to the birthday of the great poet, philosopher, and statesman.
The invaluable creative legacy of the great poet and thinker, the great statesman and public figure Alisher Navoi has a special significance in the history of development of not only the Uzbek, but also the world literature, national culture and literary and aesthetic worldview. In his immortal works, he extolled lofty ideals of humanism and universal values, using the immense potential, the richness and beauty of the native language, and firmly occupying a worthy place in the hearts of millions of readers.
In recent years, large-scale efforts have been made to thoroughly study the unique and multifaceted creative legacy of Alisher Navoi, widely promote the poet's works not only in Uzbekistan, but also abroad, and perpetuate his memory.
In particular, it has become a tradition to celebrate annually Alisher Navoi's Birthday at a high level as a bright celebration of literature and art. His books are regularly published, extensive research, republican and international scientific conferences dedicated to his works are held.
The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus. Students from Uzbekistan, who study at the Belarusian National Technical University under joint educational programs, accompanied by a specialist from the Belarusian-Uzbek Interdisciplinary Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications Aleksandra Volokhonovich, also attended the ceremony.
During the laying of flowers there were speeches by employees of the Embassy, and students recited poems by A. Navoi.
In addition, on the same day in the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications in Tashkent, a creative evening devoted to the birthday of Alisher Navoi was held.
Abdumurod Tilovov, associate professor at Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature and a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, and Aziz Latipov, an actor at the State Musical Theater of Uzbekistan, who personified the image of the great poet in his work, were invited to the creative meeting.
In the history of world literature, it is difficult to find a writer like Alisher Navoi who conveyed the joys and experiences of man, kindness, the essence of life, law and justice through the prism of profound reflection. One of the significant merits of Navoi to history and humanity is that he raised the sense of justice to the level of the highest criterion that every person, every nation and people aspire to, and calls on humanity to affirm justice in life.
