Dear colleagues, friends, students, graduates and veterans of the Belarusian National Technical University! I am pleased to congratulate you on the coming holiday – Christmas!
Christmas is one of the main ecclesiastical holidays, a solemn day for all Christians. For two millennia, Christmas has given people great hope and faith.The constant values of good and love inspire us to do merciful actions and help understand even more deeply the meaning of the commandments, which are based on divine kindness and forgiving love.
Creating strong and prosperous Belarus requires preservation and consolidation of the spiritual and moral foundations of the state and society. The willingness and desire of students for moral self–improvement, knowledge of moral norms and rules of behaviour, belief in universal human values, formation of moral ideals are the major challenges facing BNTU today.
Last year was marked for the Belarusian National Technical University by a number of the brightest events. Our purposeful work has led to an increase in the prestige of engineering education and the image of BNTU. Our dedicated work has raised the profile of the engineering education and the image of BNTU among students. As a result the motivation of young people from Belarus and foreign countries for admission to our university has significantly increased. Certainly, we wouldn’t have achieved such success without the spiritual and moral development of our students and staff.
It is necessary to thank the Orthodox Church with which we have been cooperating for over 20 years. Significant events are held jointly: exhibitions in honor of Metropolitan Filaret “Joy of Easter”, “ The Lord’s presence”. In order to unite Belarusian people, strengthen the ideas of peace and work in society as the main conditions for the development of the Belarusian state, 2023 was declared the Year of Peace and Creation. I express the hope that this year our university will only multiply its achievements, taking into account the development of spiritual, moral, friendly and creative principles.
I sincerely wish you that 2023 will be a year of bold goals, inexhaustible creative efforts, professional victories, creative ideas and bright events. May every moment of your life be filled with joy, warmth, harmony and prosperity! Dear friends, happy Christmas!
