Research laboratory of materials processing by pressure (RLMPP)

- Year of Establishment: 1985

The Research laboratory of materials processing by pressure (RLMPP) specializes in cutting-edge research and development in material forming processes. RLMPP focuses on enhancing metal ductility, developing innovative forming techniques, and creating advanced continuous forming methods for industrial applications. The laboratory collaborates with leading enterprises and scientific institutions to drive technological advancements in the field.

Key Areas of Activity:
- Scientific Principles of Pressure Forming: Developing foundational principles for the pressure forming of compact and discrete materials, incorporating self-organization of deformation processes.
- Residual Stress Redistribution: Establishing methods to redistribute residual stresses in metals, enhancing material ductility and lifespan.
- Control of Structural Formation: Formulating techniques to manage structural formation during metal forming with intense shear deformation.
- Production of Heavy-Duty Blanks: Creating efficient, scientifically backed methods and technologies for producing large-scale blanks for heavy-duty automotive components using pressure forming techniques.
- Continuous Forming Processes: Developing and implementing advanced continuous forming methods for producing powder-based products.

Services Provided:
- Design Documentation: Developing comprehensive design documentation for equipment and tooling used in material forming processes.
- Process Charts: Preparing detailed process charts for material forming procedures.
- 3D Modeling: Creating precise 3D models of equipment and tooling.
