Export of Educational and Scientific Services by the Department

Currently, the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology offers instruction in both Russian and English to a total of 109 international students at the undergraduate level, along with 1 master's student and 2 doctoral candidates. The breakdown is as follows:

- 14 students from Uzbekistan
- 10 students from Tajikistan
- 3 students from Sri Lanka
- 1 student from Turkmenistan
- 17 students from China
- 64 students from China (enrolled under the 4+0 scheme at the Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power)
- 1 master's student from Tajikistan
- 2 doctoral candidates from China

The department has developed an experimental project titled "Implementation of a Joint Educational Program for Undergraduate Studies in the Field of Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions)" at the Belarusian National Technical University and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power.

The creation of this experimental project was based on the following developments:

  • Cooperation Agreement between the Belarusian National Technical University and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power (People's Republic of China)
  • Conclusion of State Educational Institution "Republican Institute for Higher Education" No. 233-2018 dated May 27, 2019
  • Certificates for conducting joint Sino-foreign educational projects in the People's Republic of China (No. MOE33BYA02DNR20202090N) from the Ministry of Education of China
  • Decree of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus

The department has developed an experimental project titled "Implementation of a Joint Educational Program at the undergraduate level in the field of Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions) at the Belarusian National Technical University and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power."

The educational process is conducted in collaboration with Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power. All forms of academic activities, including current and final assessments, supervision of course projects, and supervision of all types of internships, are carried out by both the teaching staff of the Belarusian National Technical University and the teaching staff of Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power in a 1:3 ratio.

The implementation of the experimental project includes the following directions:

  1. Identification of competencies necessary for the professional activity of graduates of the specialization "Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions)" based on the analysis of the opinions of foreign employers and taking into account the proposals of Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power;
  2. Development of the content of the educational program "4+0" in the specialization "Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions)" with consideration of the requirements of the competency-based approach;
  3. Development of the educational program documentation of the joint educational program;
  4. Testing of the developed elements of the educational program "4+0" in the specialization "Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions)" in the educational process.

In 2021, 64 Chinese students were enrolled in the 1st year of the specialization "Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions)."

Signed "Agreement on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between BNTU and Shenyang Technological University (China)" on February 14, 2022, on the creation of a joint Chinese-Belarusian innovative educational and scientific-production center for strengthening, restoration, and production of detailed research.

The creation of such a center will allow:

  • Conducting research on the surface, structure, and mechanical properties of materials;
  • Ensuring a steady presence of our employees for research and training of Chinese employees;
  • Training Chinese students and specialists in material research;
  • Concluding contracts with Chinese enterprises for conducting specific types of research.

An agreement were signed  on Cooperation between the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Republic of Belarus) and the Department of Technological Machines and Equipment of Namangan Engineering and Technological Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan" on November 25, 2021.

An agreement were signed on Cooperation between the Department of Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering of Tashkent State Transport University (Republic of Uzbekistan) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology of the Belarusian National Technical University (Republic of Belarus)" were signed on January 5, 2022.

An agreement were signed on the provision of paid services in the field of scientific and technical cooperation with TAA "Weilai - Scientific and Technical Company" (Zhuji, China) and BNTU" with the aim of intensifying the export of scientific and high-tech products and preparing joint projects aimed at the development and implementation of innovative technologies at enterprises in China and Belarus.

As part of the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement between China and Belarus, a joint Sino-Belarusian Laboratory for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing "One Belt, One Road" has been created to further develop and implement joint research between the Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the development of strategic partnerships between China and Belarus.

The department actively cooperates with two international innovation centers for technology transfer between China and the Republic of Belarus, under the leadership of General Directors Li Changhua and Huan Haite.
