The department has developed an experimental project titled "Implementation of a Joint Educational Program at the undergraduate level in the field of Automation of Technological Processes and Production (by directions) at the Belarusian National Technical University and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power."
The educational process is conducted in collaboration with Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power. All forms of academic activities, including current and final assessments, supervision of course projects, and supervision of all types of internships, are carried out by both the teaching staff of the Belarusian National Technical University and the teaching staff of Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power in a 1:3 ratio.

An agreement were signed on Cooperation between the Department of Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering of Tashkent State Transport University (Republic of Uzbekistan) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology of the Belarusian National Technical University (Republic of Belarus)" were signed on January 5, 2022.
An agreement were signed on the provision of paid services in the field of scientific and technical cooperation with TAA "Weilai - Scientific and Technical Company" (Zhuji, China) and BNTU" with the aim of intensifying the export of scientific and high-tech products and preparing joint projects aimed at the development and implementation of innovative technologies at enterprises in China and Belarus.
As part of the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement between China and Belarus, a joint Sino-Belarusian Laboratory for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing "One Belt, One Road" has been created to further develop and implement joint research between the Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the development of strategic partnerships between China and Belarus.
