Creative Competition "Undiscovered Talents" 2026

The Department of Psychology is holding an open creative competition of short works, "Undiscovered Talents," from March 1, 2026, to May 20, 2026. The competition aims to identify and support emerging authors through short creative works characterized by brevity, expressiveness, originality of concept, and completeness of imagery. A key feature is the author's ability to convey profound meaning within a limited text or artistic image.

Main nominations (possible formats of work)

  1. Literary short forms: short story (mini-story), essay, sketch, poem, parable. Length requirements: up to 3-5 A4 pages, font: Times New Roman font , 12-14 pt , line spacing: 1.5, margins: standard (2-2.5 cm). In accordance with the competition terms and conditions, the use of Belarusian, Russian, or English is permitted.
  2. Journalistic and reflective texts: opinion column, social essay, mini-research, personal story. A distinctive feature of this format is the emphasis on the author's personal position and current social issues. The format requirements are similar to those for literary short forms.
  3. Visual and creative forms: photography (with the author's concept), collage, poster. A brief description of the author's idea must be included with the work submitted for the competition. Submission format: JPG / PNG, resolution: at least 300 dpi .
  4. Multimedia and digital forms: short video (up to 3-5 minutes), animation, audio essay /podcast. Acceptable work formats: MP4/MOV/MP3, good sound and image quality are required, as well as a title and brief description.

Criteria for evaluating creative works submitted to the competition

Works are evaluated according to the following parameters:

  • originality of the idea;
  • artistic expressiveness;
  • integrity and logic of the work;
  • compliance with small form format;
  • emotional impact on the audience;
  • creativity and novelty of presentation.

The results of the competition will be announced between May 21 and May 28, 2026.
