Department news

Master's students studying in the Department of Psychology attended the 23rd specialized exhibition "Education and Career," held from February 12th to 15th. This exhibition is rightfully considered one of the most significant events in education, professional development, and the Belarusian labor market. Students had a unique opportunity to learn directly about educational programs, admission requirements, curriculum features, employment prospects, and international opportunities offered by educational institutions in our country. The master's students were particularly interested in the topic of careers and the practical application of their acquired knowledge. The exhibition's format helps visitors better understand the real needs of the labor market and match them with their interests and abilities. Future teacher-researchers learned about current trends in education, the digitalization of the educational process, the development of soft skills, and the role of lifelong learning in the modern world. Information on career planning, resume writing, and interview preparation was particularly useful, as it equipped students with the practical tools every graduate needs. The exhibition highlights the changes taking place in the education system. Much attention was paid to interdisciplinary areas, project-based learning, collaboration with employers, and the implementation of modern technologies. Many educational institutions presented innovative labs, simulators, interactive courses, and examples of student projects. This clearly demonstrates that education today is not only theory but also practice, focused on real-world challenges and economic needs. Furthermore, the exhibition contributed to the development of a culture of continuous learning. Master's students learned that education does not end with a diploma: continuing education courses, online programs, professional certificates, and new learning formats are becoming the norm, which is especially relevant in a rapidly changing world, where the ability to adapt and acquire new skills is becoming a key competitive advantage. Visiting the exhibition helped our students better understand themselves, their interests, and strengths, identify a wide range of professional development paths, and make their professional development planning more informed.
