Signs That May Indicate You Are Being Deceived:
You are promised exceptionally high earnings for unskilled work.
There is no established procedure, and the terms of the contract are not clearly specified, including salary, working conditions, contract duration, and the responsibilities of the parties. You may be solemnly promised that all formalities related to signing an employment contract will be arranged directly on site, in the destination country.
You are offered a “one-way ticket.”
The company you are planning to work with operates from a “basement” or a rented apartment.
The company's address and contact telephone numbers cannot be found in official information sources, and the company is not included in the list of business entities licensed to provide the relevant type of service.
You are assured that “intimate services” are offered “strictly of your own free will.”
You are subjected to psychological pressure, with statements such as “this opportunity is completely unique,” “the group has already been formed and there is only one place left, which another dozen or so people are already ready to take if you keep sitting around,” meaning that you need to “do everything quickly and leave as soon as possible.”
Check whether the employer has a license for the relevant type of activity. Do not hesitate to carefully examine the document.
Read and familiarize yourself with all the terms and conditions of the employment agreement (contract).
Be sure to consult the territorial office of the Department of Citizenship and Migration at your place of residence regarding all mandatory requirements designed to ensure safe travel abroad for employment, including the legality of the selected company's activities and whether it holds the required license.
Do not rely on testimonials from “people who have been there” about how “great and wonderful” everything was at the destination. These individuals may already have a financial interest in misleading you.
