Since 1920, the Belarusian National Technical University has been a leader in technical education in Belarus. We believe that engineering education is the key to a sustainable future. BNTU integrates the UN Sustainable Development Goals into its educational, scientific, and management activities. The National Sustainable Development Strategy of Belarus to 2040 incorporates the SDGs, taking into account national interests. With the goal of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as soon as possible, including Goals 12 and 13, and supporting the country's commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and recognizing the importance of these commitments, the Belarusian National Technical University annually develops a list of measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce the specific consumption of fuel and energy resources, thereby contributing to the fight against climate change.

Youth Ambassadors of the SDGs at BNTU

The university runs a program to train Youth Ambassadors for the Sustainable Development Goals. BNTU students participate in intensive training courses and develop their own projects in the fields of ecology, energy conservation, and sustainable development. Over the years, students from the Belarusian National Technical University have been honored to represent the team of Sustainable Development Goal Youth Ambassadors, demonstrating best practices in engaging youth in the global agenda.
