Everyone has bright and sunny dreams about a future job. In flashbacks of his trips to Odessa with his father, Aliaksandr Gennadyevich Bakhanovich admits that it was that time when in his child’s soul settled warm and soft sea, the cry of seagulls, the smell of sea salt and the bright children's dream - to become the captain of long voyage. Aliaksandr was already preparing to enter the Marine Academy, when the Soviet Union broke up. Hard time and new life goals...
Aliaksandr Gennadyevich memorized parental guidance from his childhood: “Set yourself a great goal and plenty of small goals will be solved by themselves”. And nowadays in front of us is a successful person, leader, scientist – doctor of technical science, associate professor, Vice-Rector for Academic Activity of Belarusian National Technical University Bakhanovich Aliaksandr Gennadyevich.
Aliaksandr Gennadyevich says that the bright example for him was his father. He was a chief of a large scientific and research laboratory at Machine-Building Institute. And he was deep in science.
“I remember that time when I was still a boy and helped my father with his dissertation. I wrote in work each formula by hand with the help of ink. Father was authority for me. He could give me advice on any issue and a lot of things he taught me in childhood help me even now”, - memorizes Aliaksandr Gennadyevich.
In fact, everything that our interlocutor has achieved in his life, he achieved in conditions of independent Belarus: he graduated from Mogilev Machine-Building Institute, completed post-graduate and doctoral studies, got his dissertation at BNTU, where his professional development took place. "I really grateful and appreciate the leadership of the country for being able to realize myself at homeland," says Aliaksandr Gennadievich.
Belarusian National Technical University today is a leading high engineering and technical educational establishment of the country where specialists of 89 specializations for national economic set of the country are taught. More than 35 thousand students are getting highly qualified education in the university. And in the whole the staff of BNTU with B. M. Khrustalev as a head is more than 50 thousand people. Such a scale sets the administration of the university issues that must be resolved at a qualitatively new level. Despite this, all free time that he has from administrative work, Bakhanovich Aliaksandr Gennadievich spends with research work, writes scientific articles, monographs. For his scientific work he wrote about 170 scientific works. The most significant publication is the scientific monograph "Mechanics of Power Transmission by Flexible Link", written in co-authorship with the professor of Moscow State Technological University Yu. E. Gurevich in English. It was published in 2012 in New York and is located in the largest library in the world - the Library of Congress.
Being abroad Aliaksandr Gennadyevich always thinks of blue-eyed Belarus, endless fields and forests. They call him back home.
Clearly, an important role in the life of this successful person plays his family: two sons, lovely and understanding wife. As Aliaksandr Gennadyevich admits, the family is his strong and powerful rear, thanks to which he achieved his victories. "An ideal family is something abstract, if to say in simple words, a couple should trust each other, of course, there must be a love between them which with years is strengthen with gratitude and respect, and children are concrete that holds the family together definitively."
Telling about the participation in activity of public association “Belaya Rus”, he marks that community of colleagues and like-minded people who are united by the main goal is assistance for flourishing of native Belarus.
“No matter how brilliant a person is, if he doesn’t have a team of like-minded people, then he will not achieve much” – sincerely tells Bakhanovich Aliaksandr Gennadyevich. “Together we are force! And the Belarusian nation, our country, through its centuries-old history, deserved the right to live with dignity and beauty”.
