From the 18th of April till 20th of April 2018 the 11th International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists and Students "New Directions for the Development of Instrumentation Engineering " took place on the basis of the Instrumentation Engineering Faculty. This year the conference gathered 464 participants from 9 countries. Among them were Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, China, Lithuania, Syria, Libya.
The vice-rector for scientific work of Belarusian National Technical University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Maliarevich A. M delivered the inaugural address. The Chief Designer for the assembly production of the research and production holding of precision engineering "Planar", laureate of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, Honored Worker of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Shkolyk S. B. and Deputy General Director for Economics, Finance and Production of OAO "Peleng", graduate of BNTU Pozdnyakov P. G. made the speech at the plenary session after Aliaksandr Maliarevich.
The plenary session ended with the solemn awarding of students and undergraduates who made the greatest contribution to the development of science at the Instrumentation Engineering Faculty in 2017. This time there were 13 students who got such awards, and, as it became traditional, one of the awards was presented to the representative of the Sports and Technical faculty.
In addition, for the first time at the plenary session of the conference, the winners of the International competition of scientific works of students, undergraduates and graduates "Professor-33"were awarded. “Professor-33” took part within the framework of the Action Plan for 2018-2020 for the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States the period until 2020. The first winners of the contest, who received awards from the hands of the Vice-Rector for academic work of Belarusian National Technoogical University Gusev O. K. became Ivashko A. M. (OAO "Peleng"), Bezlyudov A. A. (Instrumentation Engineering Faculty of Belarusian National Technical University) and Mikitevich V. M. (Instrumentation Engineering Faculty of Belarusian National Technical University).
Further, the conference was organized in the framework of 8 thematic sections. The authors of the best reports from among those which were heard at the sectional meetings were encouraged by diplomas. All the reports that have passed the selection of the conference organizing committee, both oral and poster, were included in the collection of materials published to the beginning of the conference.
