In accordance with the assignment assignment, the pre-diploma practice of the 5th year students of group 10608113 of specialty 1-43 01 08 "Steam-turbine installations of nuclear power plants" was taken to the branch of JSC "Concern" Rosenergoatom "" Novovoronezh nuclear power plant "in the city of Novovoronezh.
The power unit No. 6 of Novovoronezh NPP
Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant (NV NPP) is located at a distance of 3.5 km from Novovoronezh. The regional center - Voronezh - is located 45 km. At present, the unit No. 5 is in operation at the Novovoronezh nuclear power plant, as well as the so-called power unit No. 6 or the power unit No. 1 of Novovoronezh NPP-2. Double numbering is because in the beginning it was planned to build a separate nuclear power plant next to the existing one. However, a decision was subsequently made on a single administrative center for both stations. Reconstruction of the power unit No. 4 is underway with the aim of extending the period of its operation, and also the construction of the 7th power unit.
Novovoronezh NPP meets about 85% of the needs of the Voronezh region in electric power, and since 1986 it has supplied heat to Novovoronezh.
In accordance with the agreement on the production practice, the trainees observe the discipline and requirements of the Novovoronezh NPP and the training and training unit, and provided methodological assistance in organizing and conducting the practice for the employees of the nuclear power plant.
The pre-diplomal practice of students was held in the production workshops of NV NPP, as well as in the training and training unit. Was organized tours to the Museum of the Novovoronezh nuclear power plant and to the information center in the city of Voronezh. The students visited all operating power units of the station and power unit No. 4, which is under reconstruction.
At the nuclear power plant on the first day, students were given overalls, conducted introductory safety instruction.

A fact-finding excursion to power units №3-4 and a visit to the observation deck of the power unit No. 6 of NV NPP (No. 1 of NPP-2) took place.
In addition, students were in the various workshops of the atomic station every day, got acquainted with the peculiarities of each of them.
Questions of water-chemical regimes of the station, functions and tasks of the shop of thermal automation and measurements, information computer system, functions and tasks of the electric shop, questions concerning equipment repair were considered. The students visited the department of diagnostics, monitoring and technical control, where they got acquainted with modern equipment and technologies of destructive and non-destructive testing. The staff of the department clearly demonstrated many of the methods of their work, and also talked about the specific techniques used by them in their work.
In addition, they were given lectures in the training center on the topic "Thermal diagram of the power unit No. 6 (No. 1 NV NPP-2)", "Construction of the turbo unit K-1200-6,8 / 50", "Features of the power unit operation" VVER-1200 reactors ", which directly concerned the newly commissioned power unit.
The students' practice was held at a high level and was useful from the point of view of obtaining special knowledge in the field of nuclear energy; consolidation, expansion and systematization of the knowledge gained in the study of special disciplines by students, their practical application, as well as the preparation of students for the study of subsequent special disciplines. Particularly worth noting is the fact that the power unit No. 6 (No. 1 NV NPP-2) of the nuclear power plant has the same basic equipment as the Belarusian NPP being under construction. The power unit was already put into operation, the students were able to visit there on excursions and get answers to their questions.
