International scientific and technical conference "Modeling and engineering of mechanical and mechatronic systems" was completed

On the 5^th-7^th of February there were events during which the results of the year in mechanics and mechatronics were summarized. All these activities were held within the framework of the 16th International Scientific and Technical Conference "Science for Education, Production, Economics" and the 71st Scientific and Technical Conference of the Higher-Educational Teaching Personnel, Scientific Workers, Ph.D. Candidate and Post-Graduate Students of Belarusian National Technical University on the basis of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty and the Department of Theoretical Mechanics and Mechatronics. This year the event was held in format of International Scientific and Technical Conference under the name: “Modeling and engineering of mechanical and mechatronic systems”. There were a lot of leading specialists in the sphere of theoretical mechanics and mechatronics among the guests of the conference. 79 participants took part in the conference. It is pleasant to notice that students, graduate students, post-graduate students and staff of Belarusian National Technical University annually take an active part in this event.

The conference was opened with the welcoming speech to the participants by the Dean of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Safonov A. I., Head of the Department “Machine Parts and Lifting-and-Shifting Machines and Mechanisms” Skoybeda A. T., Head of the Department “Resistance of Materials in Engineering” Vasilevich Yu. V., Head of the Department “Theoretical Mechanics and Mechatronics” Chigarev A. V.

The main events of the conference included plenary reports, sectional reports and discussion of the reports. Sectional reports were presented within the frameworks of four sections “General Mechanics and Mechatronics”, “Mechanics of continuous Medium”, “Theory of Mechanisms and Machines” and “Basis of Designing Machines Parts”. Totally 61 reports which were recommended by the international organizing committee of the conference were presented.

61 reports which were included in the program of the seminar and reviewed were published in international scientific and technical journal “Theoretical and Applied Mechanics” which is published in Belarusian National Technical University (BSPA, BPI) from 1975. This year Department “Theoretical Mechanics Mechatronics” prepared 33^rd issue of the journal. Journal has its own international registration number (ISSN 0134-9635). Journal is included in the List of editions, which are recommended by Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus for the publication of dissertations in the spheres of technical and physics and mathematics sciences (mechanical engineering, civil engineering, mechanics of deformable solids, biomechanics).

Materials of reports also are posted in the electronic repository on the web-site of Scientific Library of Belarusian National Technical University and National Library of Belarus.

The conference was successful. A large number of positive responses were received from the participants of the conference and from the authors of the reports.
