On the 15th and 16th of February 2018 there was the V International scientific and technical conference “Technical support of sports activities” in Belarusian National Technical University. 40 specialists from 12 domestic establishments of high education, scientific and commercial organizations and also guests from Russia, Ukraine and Latvia took part in this meeting. Actual issues and problems connecting with scientific and methodological and technical support of preparing highly qualified sportsmen; using IT technologies in physical training of students; using innovative developments in recovery and rehabilitation of sportsmen; development technical means in evaluation of various aspects of the preparedness of athletes and so on were discussed during the conference.

On the plenary session in the conference hall of Scientific and Technical Park “Polytechnic” were heard and discussed reports connecting biomechanical criteria of the complexity of physical exercises (Semenyuk M. V., BNTU), modern directions of preparing highly qualified sportsmen using mobile hardware and software (Belous P. A., BNTU), algorithms of constructing analysis for the performance competitive exercises (Hoholko A. A., BNTU), using dynamometric complexes in the practice of preparing sportsmen (Dyshko B. A., OOO “Sport Technology”, Moscow), using cryogenic technics in hypoxic training of sportsmen (Yaichnikov I. K., St. Petersburg State University), using multimedia presentations in the process of physical training of children with hearing disorder (Kirichenko V. S., Glukhov National Pedagogical University named after Alexander Dovzhenko, Ukraine).
A special discussion caused the topic of modern technologies in managing of preparing highly qualified sportsmen, which was presented by Viktor Anatolyevich Bartash, head of the department of sport and combative types of martial arts in Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, a master of sports of the USSR, a judge of the highest national category. In his speech Viktor Anatolyevich clearly identified the problems associated with the functioning of the system "athlete - coach - complex scientific group", which is typical for the sport in Belarus today.



On the second day of the conference, sectional meetings were held.
