On September 3, 2025 at the 77th year of life died Roman B. IvutsRoman Boleslavovich Ivuts graduated from the Faculty of Automobile Engineering at the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute in 1972. Doctor of Economic Sciences (1990), professor (1992), Honored Education Worker of the Republic of Belarus (2015), corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2021). For 35 years, he continuously headed the department "Economics and organization of automotive production and road transport" - "Economics and management in transport" - "Economics and logistics" BPI - BSPA - BNTU. Roman Boleslavovich was at the origin of development of logistics and leasing in the Republic of Belarus. During his fruitful scientific career, he published over 470 scientific papers, including 19 monographs and about 90 scientific and methodological manuals, and prepared 18 PhDs and Professors. During 1992-1995, Roman Boleslavovich made preparations to open several new and promising specialties for the Republic of Belarus. In 1999, he was awarded the "Distinguished Education of the Republic of Belarus" badge, and in 1996 by the collegium of the Ministry of Transport and Communications - "Honored Transport Officer". By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus 528 dated 02.10.2009 for many years of fruitful work, significant achievements in professional activity, merits in development of science, culture, transport, education Roman Boleslavovich was awarded the medal of Francis Skorina. Since the end of the 1990s, under the idea and direct supervision of Roman Boleslavovich, it was proposed and justified to open a new and very relevant specialty "Transport Logistics", for which students' training began at BNTU in 2009 and continues to this day, and its desirability for the economy of the Republic of Belarus is maintained and continues to grow. In 2012, for many years of conscientious work, professional skill and a great contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists, Roman Boleslavovich was awarded the anniversary badge of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. In 2015, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated December 9, 2015,483 for years of fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists and development of higher technical education, active contribution to civic activities, enhancement of the integration links of education, science and creativity Roman Boleslavovich was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Belarus". Roman Boleslavovich for many years headed the Educational-Methodological Association (OMU) in the field of economics and organization of production, was chairman of the competition committee section "Engineering Economy" of the Republican competition of scientific papers of students, expert of the scientific section "Social-economic sciences" GES 8 "Social-economic, humanitarian and social sciences", scientific editor of the magazine "News of science and technology" and member of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Science and Technology". The staff of the department of "Economics and Logistics" and all the automotive faculty deeply mourns the outstanding scholar and expresses the most sincere condolences to his family and friends. |

Professor Ivuts R.B. prepared 19 candidates and doctors of sciences, in 1999 he was awarded the badge "Excellent worker in education of the Republic of Belarus", and in 1996 the collegium of the Ministry of Transport and Communications - "Honorary Transport Worker". Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 528 dated 02.10. 2009 for many years of fruitful work, significant achievements in professional activities, merits in the development of science, culture, transport, education, he was awarded the Francysk Skaryna medal.
