Where to Exchange Money?
Currency exchange services are available at banks or exchange points (located in hotels, airports, train stations, and supermarkets). There is usually no commission for currency exchange, and they commonly accept US dollars, euros, and Russian rubles. You can also withdraw euros or dollars from ATMs or use your card for payments, as they are widely accepted.
Coming from Minsk Airport:
Minsk Airport is located 40 km from the city center. You can reach the city center by bus, taxi, or airport transfer.
Bus 300Э or Minibus 1400-ТК, 1430-ТК. The most convenient way to reach the city center is by bus, which goes to the Central Bus Station. Tickets can be purchased at the airport terminal, from the driver, or online. Both bus and minibus tickets cost approximately 5 BYN (around $2), but minibuses have less space for luggage. The journey takes about an hour, passing through the main avenue (with only one stop besides the terminal – at "Uruchye" metro station). Buses operate from 00:30 to 23:50, approximately every hour (less frequent early morning and late night, every half an hour during the day). The bus stop at the airport is right outside sectors 5-6 in the arrival zone.
Taxi. Taxis are available at the same sectors (5-6) in front of the airport building. The distance from Minsk National Airport to the nearest metro station "Uruchye" is 33 km, and to the center of Minsk – 42 km. Travel time is 30-40 minutes. Booking online costs from 40 BYN ($16), other taxi options include 135, 7788, 157, 107, 152, costing between 35-45 BYN. You can also pre-book through Uber or Yandex.Taxi: a ride to the nearest metro station costs $12, to the city center – $18.

Staying Connected
In Minsk, you can often find free Wi-Fi in cafes, shopping centers, and hotels – just ask the staff for the password. Public Wi-Fi on the streets is not free – you can purchase a "Beltelecom" plastic card with login and password at a kiosk or pay via the web portal (which opens automatically upon connection to the BELTELECOM network). Three hours of internet access cost approximately $4. For mobile communication, you can buy SIM cards from A1, MTS, or life:). SIM card activation (requires a passport) is usually free, with many tariffs including free calls and internet traffic.
Bntu Dining halls:
BNTU’s Dining includes 5 cafeterias, "Polytechnic" cafe, 16 hot food buffets, 10 kiosks, and 2 culinary shops. Daily menu options at university cafeterias allow for meals costing from 3.00 rubles. The average meal costs 3-5 rubles.
