Scientific research work of the teaching staff (R&D of lecturing staff)
Since 1995, on the basis of the Department of Economics and Logistics, the scientific school of R.B. Ivut "Research in the field of development of logistics and leasing in the Republic of Belarus". Within the framework of the scientific school, which has more than 120 researchers over the entire period of its existence, the following main areas of scientific research are being implemented:

In 2021, employees of the Department of Economics and Logistics of the Automotive and Tractor Faculty published 180 scientific publications, including 2 monographs, 5 textbooks, 54 scientific articles (of which 9 are in foreign publications), conference materials and abstracts of reports - 96 (out of 12 of them are in foreign editions). In the reporting year, 3 scientific events were held at the Department of Economics and Logistics of the Automotive and Tractor Faculty. Of these events, 3 scientific conferences, incl. international - 2, republican - 1. The total number of participants - 204 people, reports were read - 156, of which were read by employees and students of the university - 121. With the participation of students, 134 articles and abstracts of reports were published. 85 students made presentations at conferences of various levels.

In 2021, the department began the implementation of research work GB 21-07/12 as part of the SPNI "Society and Human Security of the Belarusian State" for 2021-2025. , subprogram "Economics", task 3.06 "Theoretical and methodological substantiation of the effectiveness of the development of logistics systems in industry and transport of the Republic of Belarus in the context of digital transformation".
In addition, since 2021, the full-time teachers of the department have been carrying out research work GB 21-202 “Methodological support for the mechanism for assessing and developing the transport and logistics potential of the Republic of Belarus” (2021-2025) within the second half of the working day.
Scientific research work of students (SRWS)
During the reporting period, 134 articles and abstracts of reports were published with the participation of students. 85 students made presentations at conferences of various levels.
For participation in the Republican competition of scientific works of students of higher educational institutions in 2021, 14 works were submitted. 1 work received the laureate degree , 2 works received the first category , 4 works received the second category , 4 works received the third category .

In order to stimulate both study and research work, students of the department in 2020 received the following types of scholarships:
In 2021, the Department developed the Regulations on the Scientific Student Center for Logistics (NSCL) . NSTL is organized and functions at the Department of Economics and Logistics of the Automotive Faculty as part of the Branch of the BNTU "Research Polytechnic Institute".
The purpose of the work of the NSCL is to improve the quality of training of specialists with higher education in the field of transport and logistics activities, economics and organization of production in transport through the active involvement of students in research activities.
Training of highly qualified scientific personnel
Currently, at the Department of Economics and Logistics there are 5 post-graduate students, as well as 3 doctoral students and Ph.D.
