Building a comprehensive training system

The purpose of creating engineering classes is to build a comprehensive system for training engineering personnel in the School-University system, to form a positive attitude towards engineering activities and readiness to consciously choose an engineering direction for continuing education, and to increase the prestige of the engineering profession.

Tasks

introduce students to the history of the emergence and development of industry, technologies of automobile, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, energy, metallurgy, architecture and construction, environmental management and conservation of natural resources and related industries in order to stimulate professionally oriented interest;
develop the ability to use various methods and means of converting materials, energy, information, calculate economic efficiency and predict possible environmental consequences of technological activities, draw up personal and professional plans;
develop technological competencies (cognitive, operational, personal and social components);
develop students’ technological thinking based on project activities using special technical devices, equipment and technologies;
promote the assimilation of moral standards that determine the conditions for the selection, use, transformation and development of technological tools;
expand, deepen and systematize students’ knowledge about the specifics and diversity of engineering activities, its social, economic and cultural significance;
develop motivation for an informed professional choice, help satisfy the need for professional self-determination through the formation of a positive attitude towards engineering activities;
develop cognitive and creative activity, initiative, responsibility for one’s actions, organization, entrepreneurship, desire for self-development and self-realization, as well as communication skills and the ability to work with information.
