The Belarusian National Technical University and the partner university Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University held a Teleconference Veliky Novgorod - Minsk "The best school project in engineering classes" as part of the development of international cooperation to create network solutions for the implementation of school training in engineering and humanities in the territory of the Union State.
The speaker from BNTU was Olga K. Yatskevich, Professor of the Department of Technological Equipment at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who spoke about the university's role in the development and pedagogical support of engineering classes in institutions of general secondary education in the Republic of Belarus. Olga Konstantinovna shared her experience and talked about the first results of this project. The event was also attended by students from schools in Veliky Novgorod, as well as students from the specialized engineering class of the state educational institution Gymnasium No. 12. Minsk", who presented their projects in the nomination "The Best School Project in Engineering Classes", completed as part of the optional course "In the World of Engineering and Technology: Choosing an Engineering profession" under the guidance of Anastasia Vladimirovna Yanulevich, a teacher at BNTU, senior lecturer at the Department of Intelligent and Mechatronic Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The seminar "Fascinating physics of everyday life: the connection between mechanics and thermodynamics", organized by the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, was held for students of the BNTU Lyceum. Maxim Anatolyevich Stepanov, Senior lecturer at the Department of Technical Physics, discussed thermodynamics with the lyceum students and considered methods for solving Olympiad problems in physics.

A seminar on mathematics "Secrets of combinatorics: revealing the secrets of solving combinatorial problems" for students of engineering classes was held at the Lyceum of BNTU. The event was organized by the Center for the Development of Engineering Education and the Organization of the Educational Process.
Senior lecturer of the Department of Higher Mathematics, Lyubov Nikolaevna Gotina of the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics, introduced the students to the basic rules of combinatorics and combinatorial compounds, their applications in science and in everyday life. In the process of solving practice-oriented tasks, lyceum students deepened their knowledge on this topic, developed critical thinking, and increased their confidence in their ability to solve problems of increased complexity.

A meeting on work planning for the 2024/2025 academic year with students of engineering classes in the Berezovsky district of the Brest region was held on the basis of JSC Berezastroymaterials. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Berezovsky District Executive Committee, the Department of Education, the General Director of JSC Berezastroymaterialy, the principals of the district schools with engineering classes and representatives of the Higher Educational Institution.
The Belarusian National Technical University (hereinafter - BNTU) was represented by Nikita Ivanovich Vabishevich, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
During the working meeting, the participants got acquainted with the infrastructure of Bereza, visited a ceramic tile factory, shared their experience in the field of engineering personnel training, discussed the prospects for the development of the construction industry, as well as the issue of organizing further cooperation between institutions of general secondary education of the Brest region and BNTU within the framework of specialized engineering classes, targeted training of specialists of construction enterprises..
"Engineering kaleidoscope" has collected the best moments of the autumn profile shift!
The autumn profile shift "Engineering kaleidoscope" at the sanatorium-dispensary "Polytechnic" has ended.
We are proud to summarize the results of our Engineering Kaleidoscope shift. During these eventful days, our participants not only immersed themselves in the fascinating world of engineering, but also discovered limitless horizons of creativity, innovation and teamwork. Every student became a part of an amazing process where ideas turned into real projects. The students learned how to work with various materials, mastered modern technologies and developed their critical thinking skills, create their own models, and solve complex problems. We saw how they overcame difficulties, looked for innovative solutions, and supported each other in their quest for success. Every project, every idea is not just the result of work, but a reflection of perseverance and creativity!
Together we conducted fascinating master classes, interesting excursions and exciting contests. We sincerely hope that this experience will become a starting point for students in their professional future!

A field trip for students of the profile shift "Engineering kaleidoscope" of the Polytechnic camp to the official dealer of FAW Bestune and JAC cars in the Republic of Belarus FelOkt-service LLC took place.
Vladislav Anatolyevich Domenikan, a business coach, and Svetlana Berezovskaya, Head of the Personnel Management and Training Sector, conducted the tour from the company. The organizer of the field trip was the Faculty of Automotive Engineering represented by Igor Andreevich Serebryakov, Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Operation of Automobiles.
The tour began with the showroom, where the range of cars offered by the authorized dealer (FAW Bestune and JAC) is on display. In addition, FelOkt-service provides warranty service for Skoda cars. Then the tour participants were invited to the service and repair area department, where they were able to personally observe all the stages of car maintenance. The guys also visited the detaling area, where customers' cars are given the most neat and beautiful appearance. In addition to the car maintenance and repair shop, the tour participants were also guided through the body shop, where bodywork elements are repaired and car parts are painted.
The guides and students actively asked each other questions, and many received pleasant souvenirs for the correct answers. After the end of the excursion part, the students were able to talk with the company's employees and ask questions about their choice of profession and working conditions at one of the republic's leading enterprises in the field of car sales and maintenance.
The tour was successful and left a maximum of positive impressions for all participants!

Students of the Faculty of Architecture organized and held the MakaBuilder competition for the participants of the specialized autumn shift "Engineering Kaleidoscope"
The competition consisted of creative tasks for different age groups of children:
- for children aged 10-13 years – "Constructive construction of small architectural forms according to the proposed analogues" (assignment - proposed photos of famous architectural structures)
- for children aged 13-16 years – "Constructive construction of the spatial framework of buildings (based on the proposed examples of world analogues of buildings and structures) - "The tallest structure".
The MakaBuilder competition was held with the aim of popularizing education in the field of architecture and the formation of architectural and planning modeling skills, the development of spatial thinking among students aged 10-16, the formation of teamwork skills, the development of leadership skills and organizational abilities.
7 participating teams of 5 people each came up with their own names: "Builders"; "Macaroni"; "Plasticine guys"; "MAC.BY"; "Bujhalifa"; "Tokiytsy";"Kaifovaya Tower" and in 2 hours they modeled buildings and structures, built small architectural forms. The models submitted to the competition had to remain intact until the results were summed up.
The results of the creative competition were summed up in three categories:
1st place – Tokiytsy team;
Audience Award - "Macaroni";
The special diploma of the organizers is "Budjhalifa".
The competition was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, each team presented its own "unique style", each of the participants was able to evaluate their opportunities to become an architect!!!!!!!
The educational program of the day continued with the Faculty of Instrument Engineering. Two groups of the youngest participants of the profile shift passed the quest game "Engineering: invent, solve, design".
To assemble a ship puzzle that needs to be named and invent a story and a microscope from parts printed on a 3D printer from memory – these tasks are for active, curious and enthusiastic children!

The Faculty of Management Technologies and Humanitarianism organized and conducted two educational events for students of the Engineering Kaleidoscope profile shift: a quiz and a master class on working with technical means of customs control (TSTK).
The children were provided with introductory information about customs in the form of a game. They expanded their knowledge of the customs officer's profession and the structure of customs authorities in general. And a quiz conducted by Deputy Dean Zhevlakova Anastasia Yurievna helped consolidate the knowledge gained. Entertaining thematic blocks of questions related to musical compositions, films and cartoons did not leave anyone indifferent. Sweet gifts were presented to all participants of the quiz.
