On February 17 ended the third season of the All-Russian competition of architectural and educational project for students and graduates of Youth in Architecture (ArchYouth-2020) architectural and construction of colleges and universities. In the season finale, an authoritative jury of working architects and glazing specialists determined the winners of full-time and part-time participation.
In the III season 554 young architects took part - students and graduates of architectural and construction colleges and universities from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova and China. Participants from 66 cities, 57 universities and 16 colleges presented their projects. The task of each participant was to develop a project for a building of any of three types: a low-rise residential building, a multi-storey residential building, a public building, and select glazing for it, taking into account the climatic conditions in the proposed construction area and the design features of the building itself.
195 projects passed to the semifinal of the competition. In the final of the competition, which ended on February 17, the ArchYouth-2020 season, 18 projects (9 full-time and 9 in absentia) that scored the most points during the semi-final reached the final. The competition was held in three categories: “College Students”, “University Students”, “Graduates”. In addition to architectural goals, all the finalists coped with the most difficult task: they selected glazing options for objects taking into account the climatic conditions and energy efficiency requirements at the proposed construction site.
The works of the winners received high scores according to several criteria: architectural idea, comfort, safety, functionality, energy efficiency, architectural graphics, technical graphics, explanatory note, presentation. Each of the winners understood in detail the intricacies of the glazing of their project, correctly calculated the formulas of the double-glazed windows, picked up the glasses and profile systems.
The 1st degree diploma in the category "College Students" was awarded to a 4-year student of the specialty "Architecture" of the branch of the Belarusian National Technical University "Minsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering" Tsarik Anna (gr. 6192)
