On January 28, on the basis of Mining Engineering and Engineering Ecology Faculty the VII international training seminar 'Trenchless construction. Drilling equipment. Theory and Practice' was held. The experts from leading world companies from Russia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, USA, Poland, Sweden, Lithuania and Bulgaria participated in the seminar. The successful holding of annual seminars is facilitated by the long-term close cooperation of the heads of domestic companies GNB-Group LLC and OptDiGroup LLC with the teachers of the Mining, Mining Machines and Engineering Ecology departments.
The seminar was actively attended by over 60 representatives from 12 domestic state and private organizations involved in the trenchless laying of communications in the Republic of Belarus, as well as teachers, students, undergraduates and graduate students of BNTU. A bunch of work on the organization and conduct of the seminar was carried out by senior teachers Stasevich ("Mining works") and Basalay ("Mountain cars").
The Dean of Mining engineering and engineering ecology faculty, Ph.D. in Engineering, Associate Professor Andrey Andreevich Kologrivko made a welcoming speech to the seminar participants. In his speech, he noted the important role of international cooperation and seminars to increase the level of professional training of mining specialists at the Belarusian National Technical University.
During the seminar, the speakers presented detailed presentations on the following topics: 'Trenchless laying. Pneumatic punching machines and equipment', 'Polymer pipes for laying underground utilities', 'DCI location systems', 'Theory and practice of drilling mud preparation', 'DitchWitch technique', 'Lifting equipment'. Full-Scale samples of the equipment operating elements on the indicated topics were demonstrated.
