State support is one of the main components of success. Hundreds of young scientists and inventors, artists and musicians, students and schoolchildren are sure of this. At the end of last year, they appointed presidential scholarships. In an interview with Znamenka, representatives of the intellectual and creative elite spoke about their goals, how they spend their free time and what they dream about.
At the end of last year, 99 young scientists were awarded Presidential scholarships. Among them are representatives of medical, technical, natural, humanitarian and agricultural sciences. Pavel Lushchik, Deputy General Director for Innovation Activities of the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU Polytechnic, also appeared on the honorary list. The candidate of technical sciences studies the solidification processes of casting alloys and is developing new foundry materials:
— Conducted a lot of research and came to important conclusions for theory and practice that can be applied in the foundry. For example, I received new experimental and theoretical results that help to establish the dependence of the content of the solid phase released during solidification on temperature and time, used to optimize the processes for producing castings.
Pavel participates in national and international competitions, exhibitions, speaks at seminars and symposia, has published more than 70 scientific papers in Belarusian and foreign publications, and has received four patents. And he is not going to stop:
— Now I devote a lot of time to the implementation of innovative projects, in particular, related to medicine. Together with the specialists of the RSPC Cardiology and BelMAPO, we develop the products necessary for patients with severe heart and vascular diseases.
Pavel spends his free time with his family:
— In September, my daughter went to first grade. Every day she looks forward to dad from work to tell about everything that she learned in the classroom.
