The Department “Roads” of the Faculty of Transport Communications of BNTU organized an event to visit the teaching room “Museum of the History of the Road Economy of the Republic of Belarus”, located on the territory of the profile enterprise BELAVTODOR Holding Management Company.
On November 11 and 25, students of groups 11403119-11403219 and 11403319-11403419, accompanied by senior teachers of the department "Highways" Gatalsky R.K. and Shishko N.I. visited the open exhibition of the museum. There they got acquainted with various types of road surfaces and sidewalks used in various time periods of the development and formation of the road network of the Republic of Belarus.
Students were presented with exhibits of an open exhibition, and then the excursion continued on the premises.
The guide Maria Saulovna colorfully told students about periods of development of the road network of the Republic of Belarus, about the historical beginnings of the formation of the road industry and its significant representatives.
Future young road experts familiarized themselves with the presented artifacts, historical photographs, models and miniature models of road equipment, as well as with the presented exposition of manuscripts, books, copyright notes, awards and thanks.
We hope that this tour will open new horizons in the views on future professions of the road industry to students of the specialty 1-70 03 01 “Roads” and will inspire further improvement of their own skills.
