Historical memory
People have always been interested in its history and not only out of idle curiosity. The basis of cognition is memory. Man is a social being. Therefore, individual memory incorporates information from the collective memory. A story that has literally everything: space, universe, nature, technology, humanity, country, personality and so on by and large and there is a collective memory. Not so long ago coined the term "historical memory", indicating the preservation of information about the social matter, that is, about humanity. Historical memory is not only the basis of any knowledge, but also becomes a key priority of governance. Justifying the need of knowledge of history say that if the person loses individual memory, he becomes sick with a diagnosis of "amnesia", if the society is to deprive the collective memory, it will lose its sociality and handling. No wonder nowadays all more conscious of the actions of States and different communities for the management of historical memory that finds expression in the term "historical policy".
Coincidentally, in 2019, the Belarusian government has clearly stated the need for a politics of history and professional historical community – the weighting factor of the historical memory in public life.
18 March 2019 was approved the Concept of information security of the Republic of Belarus, in which, inter alia, in paragraph 49 says that "Requires further systematic implementation of the national historic policy aimed at the consolidation in Belarus and abroad Belarusian national concept of the historical past of the country and the Belarusian model of memory, constructed in accordance with this Concept as the dominant".
26-27 September 2019 in the NAS of Belarus held an international scientific-practical conference "Historical memory about Belarus as a factor of consolidation of society." Members of the conference organizing Committee – head of the Department "History of the Belarusian statehood" V. A. Bobkov, doctor of historical Sciences, Professor, corresponding member of NAS of Belarus, Honored worker of science of the Republic of Belarus.
The conference was attended by scientists from different countries: Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine. Active participation was attended by the teachers of the Department "History of the Belarusian statehood": Professor Semenova L. N., associate Bogaleisha S. V., Dubovik A. K. and others.
