There are an active work on the introduction of practice – oriented study of the FTC students.

Practice-oriented study is a kind of study which is primary aimed to form a professional competence of practical work among students.

The bright example of practice-oriented way of study on the FTC is laboratory work prepared by senior lecturers of the department “Car roads” on the discipline called “Road diagnostics” Hodan Elena Petrovna and Sobolevskaya Svetlana Nikolaevna.

The aim of the laboratory work is measurement of transport indicators on the expert part of the road with the help of a mobile road laboratory “TRASSA”. Under the guidance of an engineer and teacher, students measure the main geometrical parameters of roads, coupling quality and evenness of the coating, intensity and composition of motion, the presence and the condition of structural elements of the road.

Everybody knows that practice and theory should be closely related. Awakening of student interest is achieved by conducting this kind of occupation because it is important to run classes not only informatively turned but also using the maximum of interesting and modern methods of study.
