From 18 to 24 November 2018, the General Assembly of the regional educational network SNAR-NET "Education and training of specialists in the field of nuclear technologies" was held at the IAEA site in Vienna (Austria).
It was attended by representatives of 13 Universities involved in training for nuclear power, as well as representatives of networks in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the European Union, the UK. As the official representative of the Belarusian National Technical University in the General Assembly, the head of the department "Thermal power plants" Mikalai Karnitski took part.
The participants of the General Assembly were acquainted with the experience of using the training platform "STAR-NET LMS" in BNTU in the training of power engineers for the Belarusian NPP.
Agreements have been reached to conduct practices on the basis of the IAEA. Negotiations were under way to invite prominent scientists to lecture our students. The issues of holding conferences, schools together with foreign partners, professional development and a number of other events were discussed.
