Students of the Belarusian National Technical University (Republic of Belarus, Minsk) have internship at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod)
From 12/02/2018 at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alexeyeva had begun the traditional internship of the 5th year students of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), who are studying in the specialty 1-43 01 08 "Steam Turbine Installation of Nuclear Power Plants".
As in previous years, BNTU students have internship at the Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Applied Physics.
Immediately upon the arrival of the students at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Applied Physics, Khrobostov A.E. and Terekhin A.N. During the meeting, the tasks of internship were set, as well as a briefing on safety precautions. The students were distributed in the directions of scientific research conducted at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University - A. Shah and A. Lisakovich will take part in the work on hydrodynamics of fuel assemblies and reactor units of the PWR-type, and A. Syamenchuk and D. Ogievich in research work on the liquid metal stand.
Despite the fact that the internship has just started, the students of the Belarusian National Technical University have already taken part in the vacancy fair, which is annually held at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. Since the traditional distribution of students is preserved in the Republic of Belarus, participation in events such as the vacancy fair has undoubtedly broadened the horizons of students in terms of independent employment in the free labor market.
Also, Belarusian students visited at the Nizhny Novgorod Information Center of Nuclear Energy.
The internship should facilitate the collection of materials by students, which will be required when making and defending a graduation project, and also give students knowledge and skills that will be useful to them later when working at the first Belarusian NPP.
