Vitebsk summed up the results of the International Interuniversity Dance Festival "Take a step forward!"
Traditionally the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine with the support of the Federation of Trade Unions and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union organized the youth choreographic forum.
This year the festival gathered 327 participants who came from four countries (Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan) and presented 31 creative students from 27 educational institutions.
The festival days were very diverse and took place in three directions: Contemporary dance, street dance and folk dance.
In the year of the Little Motherland the organizers decided to revive the forgotten traditions and introduced a new nomination "Dances of the Peoples of the World".
We can proudly say that the Grand Prix of the youth festival went to the creative team of BNTU Cultural-educational and historical-educational center, the folk dance ensemble "Druzhba" under the direction of Alexander Lisitsky and Irina Tokareva.
Their incendiary polka shook the audience no worse than an energetic-dynamic crump or a mannered vogue. They could not compete with even the performers of a contemporary dance - plastic free one, which is traditionally on the top of the audience sympathy.
And the winner in the nomination "The best dancer of the festival" was the member of the ensemble of folk dance "Druzhba " Yegor Asadchiy.
