Today, special attention is paid to the training of specialists with an active life position - initiative, creative, active, capable of actively participating in public life of the state. Civil activism is not only a quality of personality, but also as a result of its socially significant activity.
At the Belarusian National Technical University an important institution for the formation of civic self-awareness and self-development of students is student self-government.
In order to optimize the work, further development and improvement of self-governance in Belarusian National Technical University, a new structure of student self-government has been created, according to which on the 23 of March 2018 the first General meeting of the students of the university took place, where the election of the chairman of the student government and his deputies took place.
The meeting was attended by Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of BNTU Bakhanovich A. G., Head of the Center for Ideological and Educational Work Galusa O. M., Head of the Department of Educational Work with Youth of the Center for Ideological and Educational Work Pakholchik Zh.I., Head of the Department of Student Self-Government Korovaevich M. M.
The opening speech was addressed to the participants of the meeting by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Aliaksandr Gennadievich Bakhanovich, who noted the high level of the work of the local government, thanked everyone for organizing and holding student actions and events at a high level and expressed the hope for further joint cooperation between the university and local government authorities for the benefit of their native university and in the whole of the Republic of Belarus.
For the post of chairman of the student government of BNTU Polina Sachek the student of the Management Technologies and Humanitarization Faculty was unanimously elected.
On the posts of deputy chairmen of student government of BNTU are elected: student of Power Engineering Faculty Pavel Berezan - chairman of student council of faculties of BNTU; student of Power Engineering Faculty Ekaterina Kirik - chairman of the course leaders of BNTU; student of Instrumentation Engineering Faculty Ksenia Falaleeva - chairman of the board of dormitories of BNTU; student of Architectural Faculty Goia Semirenko - chairman of the editorial board of BNTU; student of Automotive and Tractor Faculty Pavel Lopato - commander of voluntary teams of BNTU. The student of Instrumentation Engineering Faculty Karina Drobysheva has been elected the secretary of student's self-government of BNTU.
The chairman of student's self-management of BNTU Polina Sachek has thanked participants of meeting for the rendered trust and support. She told about her vision of the work of student government, promising directions of its development.
