From September 30 to October 8, programming training camp for teams of higher educational institutions of Belarus and foreign countries were held at the Faculty of Information Technology and Robotics in Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). It was a stage of preparation for the next cycle of the World Student Programming Championship (International Collegiate Programming Contest, ICPC).
The training camp included 6 intensive five-hour contests, during which the teams solved problems and competed within the framework of the standings. After the contests, the jury members gave lectures and analyzed the tasks. Together with the Belarusian National Technical University, the organizers of the meetings are representating the specialized departments of the Belarusian State University and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. Such a large-scale event was held on the basis of the BNTU for the second time. In 2024, teams from five Belarusian universities participated in it. The ADA University team from Baku and three teams from the Far Eastern Federal University from Russia (Vladivostok city) also arrived in Minsk. Students from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan participated online.
As part of the training camp, in addition to trainings, a meeting with representatives of Tech-Arena company was held. The participants had the possibility to communicate in an informal setting. Students from foreign countries were acquainted with the sights of the Belarusian capital during the tour. The best teams of every university were awarded certificates and prizes.
The training camps allowed the participants to improve their programming skills on original tasks of varying complexity, gain new experience and successfully represent their university at the international level in the future.

I would like to highlight not only the excellent organization of the camp - in this sense, the professionalism of the organizers, as expected, was at the highest level. We will definitely remember for a long time an unbelievable attention from the University representatives and TechArena company. The organization of such events is absolutely necessary, as it gives the opportunity to communicate and bring together young people from different countries, to establish new contacts - and this is no less important than the competition itself. And this cannot be achieved with remote participation. Well, finally, it was very fun."
