The branch of BNTU, Soligorsk, was opened in 2004 and is an independent structural subdivision of the Belarusian National Technical University. For 19 years now, the branch has been training specialists for Belaruskali OJSC and related industries. Solving the urgent problems of underground mining, ore dressing, fertilizer production, operation and repairing of mining and processing equipment requires special knowledge and skills, therefore, in the branch, the process of training specialists is as close as possible to the production process of mining and beneficiation enrichment of potash ore.
Students are trained by teachers of the department "Technologies and equipment for the working out of mineral fertiliser", many of them have academic degrees. The high level of theoretical training of our teachers, as well as rich practical experience in the mining industry and in specialized research organizations: Belaruskali OJSC, Soligorsk Institute of Resource Saving Problems with Pilot Production, Belgorkhimprom OJSC, NPUE Institute of Mining" help our students in their studies.
Our graduates start their careers from working positions, having gone through all the steps of the career ladder from mining foremen to managers. After graduating from BNTU successfully, they hold the following positions: Chief Mechanic of the State Institution of Public Institution of OJSC “Trest Shakhtospetsstroy”, Deputy of Chief Mechanic of the Mining Administration of the 2nd RU of JSC Belaruskali, Head of the PEO SU 95 of JSC Stroytrest No. 3 of the Order of the October Revolution, Leading Economist of the Petrikovsky Mining Administration, Chief Engineer of the Design Unitary Enterprise "Kaliyproekt", etc.
For the successful implementation of the educational process in order to consolidate theoretical knowledge and acquire practical work skills, training sessions and internships for students of the branch are held in the laboratories and production sites of Belaruskali OJSC, Soligorsk Institute for Resource Conservation Problems with Pilot Production, Belgorkhimprom OJSC, "Scientific and production unitary enterprise "Institute of Mining".

Graduates become specialists in the field of integrated underground mining operations at mining enterprises that ensure the full mining of mineral fertiliser by the underground method, as well as in organizations engaged in underground mining operations in cities and metropolitan areas; specialists in the field of enrichment and processing of minerals.
Education at the branch of BNTU, Soligorsk is carried out only in the correspondence form of higher education of the 1st stage, therefore more than 60% of our students work at the enterprises of Belaruskali OJSC.
