Specializations: 1-43 01 05 01 Industrial heat power engineering 1-43 01 05 02 Thermal power plants and heat supply systems
Energy, gas and heat supply, air and water supply, ecology and energy saving, alternative energy sources - all this includes the concept of industrial heat power engineering. The department "Industrial heat power engineering and heat engineering" trains highly qualified specialists in the specialty 1-43 01 05 "Industrial heat power engineering." Education is conducted in full-time and part-time (including part-time abbreviated) forms. During the training, students acquire professional competencies, including: - knowledge and skills in design, installation, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance of thermal power systems, their elements and other objects of industrial thermal power; - knowledge and skills in managing technological processes, developing and mastering new heat-technological equipment and processes in the field of organizing, planning and managing the activities of heat and power units; - knowledge, skills in conducting research work. To ensure the acquisition of fundamental knowledge in the training of a specialist, a deep study of technical thermodynamics, the theory of heat and mass transfer, hydroaerodynamics is provided, which makes it easy to navigate in industrial technologies of various profiles. During the training, students gain knowledge in the field of programming, computer technology and specialized software (automated systems for designing, modeling, optimizing and controlling heat engineering systems). As part of the educational process, students acquire skills in the design, development and operation of thermal power and heating installations, energy supply systems, energy production and distribution systems. The department provides an opportunity for internships abroad for senior students who speak a foreign language, successfully mastering the curriculum, participating in research work and social life of the department. Enterprises from Russia, Germany, Finland and a number of other countries cooperate with us. Upon graduation from the university, graduates are awarded the qualification of an energy engineer. Due to the high demand in the labor markets of the Republic of Belarus and abroad (Germany, France, Sweden, Canada, Brazil and other countries of the world), our specialists are guaranteed employment, interesting and highly paid work in various fields of activity: energy, oil and gas, engineering, metallurgical, agricultural, construction industry, petrochemical, chemical, food industries, housing and communal services. Some graduates prefer research and teaching activities. Power engineers find their first jobs at power plants, industrial enterprises, in diversified engineering firms, companies, foreign joint ventures representing the interests of foreign and domestic manufacturers of power equipment in the industrial market of Belarus, as well as near and far abroad. |
