Under the conditions of the growing world demand for energy resources, the growth of tariffs for them, as well as the deterioration of the environment, the reduction of oil, coal and gas reserves, the problems of energy saving are of particular importance. The issues of development and implementation of strategies for the use of energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies, improving the efficiency of the use of energy resources are the main direction and core of the scientific work of the faculty of the department.
Teachers of the department make presentations and participate in the work of international (In Germany, Poland, the Russian Federation, Ukraine) and republican conferences, forums, seminars, competitions on scientific research topics, the results of which are reflected in publications (monographs, collections of scientific papers and periodicals) . Students of the Faculty of Energy are actively involved in the implementation of scientific research. At the department under the scientific guidance of Mantserova T.F. a full-time postgraduate student from Vietnam is being trained.
Students conduct their research under the guidance of teachers of the department, prepare scientific reports and papers for participation in international and republican competitions, conferences, olympiads.
The works submitted annually to the republican competition are traditionally highly appreciated and awarded with diplomas. In 2013, all 6 works that were submitted for evaluation by the commission of the XX Republican competition of scientific works of students received well-deserved categories, including 3 works were awarded the 1st category.
Every year students of the department take an active part in conferences held not only in BNTU, but also in other educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus and CIS countries.
In 2014, the students of our department performed with dignity in the first Student Olympiad in "Analytical Economics and Forecasting" and were awarded a diploma.
