Direction 1-27 01 0-10 Energy
Training of engineers-economists is carried out at the Department of Economics and Organization of Energy.
Every year, 1 group of full-time students and 1-2 groups of students studying on the job are recruited for this specialty. The curricula provide for a deep study of the fundamentals of a market economy, management, marketing, the fundamentals of foreign economic activity, economics and organization of energy, energy conservation, energy enterprise management. Future engineer-economists also study natural science and general technical disciplines: higher mathematics, physics, descriptive geometry, engineering and computer graphics, computer science and programming, heat engineering and electrical engineering disciplines, and a number of other economic and engineering disciplines.
The work of energy enterprises in modern conditions is inextricably linked with the export and import of energy resources, energy equipment, which requires fundamental knowledge in the field of investment design, foreign economic activity from graduates of the department.
Students who have shown a penchant for scientific research have the opportunity to continue their studies in the magistracy and postgraduate studies on a full-time and part-time basis. Studying in the magistracy and postgraduate studies, students have the opportunity to undergo internships abroad.

Graduates of the department can work at energy, including nuclear power plants, and industrial enterprises as chief power engineers, heads of energy services, economists - wherever specialists with higher economic education in the field of energy are required.
To consolidate their theoretical knowledge, undergraduate students have an internship at Belenergo State Production Association and at TPPs of the Republic of Belarus. At senior courses, industrial and undergraduate practice is carried out at energy enterprises, educational universities, research and design institutes of Belarus.

Students are widely involved in research work, they make presentations at republican and international conferences. The faculty collection of student works is published annually, and the best works are submitted to the republican competition of scientific works of university students.
